Sadly thanks to NHS cutbacks most future Blackburners will be Burnley born. :(

Heard a tale that if your baby was born in the maternity unit at b***ley then you could have the place of birth on the birth certificate as saying Lancashire although I’m not sure if true or not!

“If he starts in League One, or League Two, then he will find himself coveted before too long if he performs at the level he needs to by a Championship club. Let’s hope he can get himself to the Premier League one day. At this moment in his career it’s probably best he finds a new chapter in his career.”

You'd think we'd just offer him a new contract and loan him out instead of just getting rid. Obviously the 'personal problems' are still there.

Mowbray just doesn't trust youngsters.

Travis

Tomlinson

Rothwell

Brereton

He signs players brings players into the first team then suddenly drops them. When some of our youngsters are better than a few of the senior lads

He seems to have trusted Nyambe and Raya more than many on here.

You keep saying this. They weren’t Mowbray’s players. They were already established.

If he does make it to the Premier League one day he'll be able to wave at us yo-yoing between the Championship and League 1 with Evans and Smallwood in midfield.

It might have been our FA Cup loss to Hull last year where I (and I think many others) saw that Tomlinson was pretty badly exposed after a few decent sub cameos. That would've been his first start against non-lower league competition. You obviously don't want to judge a young player too quickly, but I remember being surprised at how bad he looked. (Or I may be thinking of his sub appearances against Northampton or Rochdale...?) Travis outshone him soon after and he only managed that short sub against Lincoln since.

Add in apparent off-field issues and this really isn't all that surprising. Hope it works out for him, and maybe we can get a minor fee + sell-on.

Raya had played 7 league games in total until Mowbray came in and dropped Steele. Hadn’t played at all in the Championship that season prior to Mowbray.

I was half watching Police Interceptors on Channel Five and the police pulled over a driver on suspicion of being over the limit. My ears pricked up when he said he played for Mansfield Town. When I looked closely it was Willem Tomlinson and he was over the limit. He was fined and banned from driving for twelve months.
