Crikey, so many knowledgable advocates of modern day football on here these days. I'd just like to ask why do they think that several of the Scotland squad cried off prior to the Hungary game and whether they'd wager that they'd all be fit for selection come Saturday?

Are we on here Rovers fans or not? Mulgrew certainly won't have benefited from his Scotland exploits as far as Rovers' Easter fixtures are concerned, that is a fact and all that we should be concerned with.

If there is any doubts about his fitness I would leave him on the bench. We played for over half the season with Downing in there and Lenihan is fit. If we start him and hes off the pace it is a waste of a sub.

Play to our strengths and get at them from the off. Focus on attack.

Hahahaha, Genius with the sound on. If you're at work just imagine the Benny Hill music. Anyway, this is the ref tomorrow apparently. Chris Sarginson.

Got it from here https://claretandbanter.uk/threads/blackburn.55347/

Rovers are expecting 2k ish to travel from Bradford.  Funny post about them being a 'Stockport County Tribute Act' at the moment but they seem to have cheered up since they won last time out. They're quick walkers though if they expect to get to the ground from the Postal Order in 10 minutes....25 mins for me and I'm not quite morbidly obese.

2-1 to Rovers but it's the kind of game we could quite easily feck up, especially if Charlie is missing to go along with Nyambe's absence.

Referees are a big worry in the run-in. We've had some absolute shockers at Ewood this season. There's been so many of them out of their depth. Big game vs Bradford on Sky TV, could cost us if the ref wants to make a name for himself (or is just incompentant).

Surprised they haven't allocated a Premier League ref for this one. They usually like to parachute in a big name for the live TV games so then the watching masses don't see for themselves how bad the usual ones are.

Andy Murray & co often play 2/3 hour games and play again a couple of days later. Footballers are fit highly trained athletes (or should be) and whilst it would be better if he hadn’t played and travelled for Scotland, playing tomorrow night should be something he takes in his stride

And what's Roger Federer doing between now and June and why?

It's the lack of sleep that is the issue. He probably didn't get home till at least 4.30 am

We'd be asking a thirty odd year old with a dodgy medical record to play four games of 90 minutes at high intensity in 10 days. despite the travel involved, but fair play:

If Charlie's in the starting line up on Thursday night, what better reason than to get down to Ewood and support him and The Lads?

If he's not then so be it but get down anyway.

If someone can make it on Thursday but chooses not to they are quite simply, as Elvis nearly sang,  a Dingle in Disguise.

This ref will have been selected with a possibility of him gaining promotion if not after this season maybe the next one if all goes well for him. Only the losers worry about the referee JH.

Tough one to call really - playing so shortly after is not really the issue, its the amount of games we have in a short space of time coming up.

Don't even think it's that. If he's completely fit he should be fine but if he's carrying any little injury niggles you can't shake them off in time and you dont want to risk making them worse.

On balance i think id give him a rest for a couple of days and save him for MK Dons bringing in Downing. Id also play Caddis for the injures Nyambe and bring in Bell for Williams.

Further forward now Chapman is unavailable the side picks itself imo:

Payne Bennett Smallwood Armstrong                                 Dack

                           Graham.

Oops, spacing gone weird, Dack obviously more central not sat in the front row of the stand. Lol.

Won’t be there tonight but will catch the game on tv, it feels like a massive one.

Just get the 3 points in the bag even if it’s an offside winner off somebody’s arse, after the break it’s just so important to be back winning and flipping the pressure back onto Shrewsbury tomorrow.

There is a real opportunity tonight to lay down a marker for the rest of the season  by playing and winning well. There will be a lot of interested viewers in Salop willing us to fail. Ideally I would like us to hammer Bradford with a performance of scintillating football but in reality I would take a scabby 1-0.
