Just watching highlights of yesterday’s matches and before the Bolton game:

‘Boss Phil Parkinson declare his team alive and kicking for the relegation fight’

Bolton 0-4 Norwich.

Whoops.

The ownership of the club need to be sorted.

Bet Parkinson wish he got the Reading job earlier in the season

Sheff Utd rested their two main strikers and still scored 4. I still think you've got a chance in the play-offs though... If you get there.

Aye. Good side Reading eh ?

Toss up between them and Ipswich as the worst side ive seen in this league in many a season. Shocking. You must of been dire losing there in the week. Pub team.

Quite right CP. I'm still reeling from it now 4 days later, It feels the same as being dumped out of the cup by a non league team.

Mowbray's handling of that game was totally inept. And the players' weren't much better considering they were coming in after 2 abject defeats and you would have thought might be playing for a bit of pride.

Kemar Roofe out for 6/8 weeks with ligament damage. Great news. Just start getting players back after long lay offs and bang. Brown and Bamford need to step up now and avoid any niggles as I think both are a bit soft.

On a brighter note Jack Clarke been given the thumbs up to return to training this week.

We don't really care to be honest. Would you be on this site if we were riding high and you were stuck in mid table? Highly unlikely

If we'd have played our best players, they might have taken those chances.

Mowbray has generally always played our strongest possible team before, so to me it suggested he's already written the season off and is happy to finish somewhere in mid-table. That said, none of the players he brought in made an impression which doesn't speak well for them either.

Parkinson did an incredible job keeping Bolton up last season, but this season will probably be one step too far with the ownership problem at the club. I reckon he'll have a few job offers if and when he leaves Bolton.

I thought this thread was about the Championship  ? Maybe I got it wrong. I joined before our game at Ewood.

Just a bit of injury news concerning a team in the mix approaching the business end. It's in our hands. Next week has...

Leeds v Bolton

Norwich v Bristol City

West Brom v Sheffield United

QPR v Leeds our game in hand a week Tuesday.

All to play for.

Amazingly if we got 6 points from out last 4 games, we would only be 6 off the play offs. So tight. Anyway, that ship has sailed.

I've made peace with our surrender of a playoff challenge. Realistically we were never really good enough, a combination of momentum and good fortune had us up there for a bit but since November reality has been biting pretty hard. Mowbray's decision not to strengthen in January solidified our acceptance of mid table. Until we stop conceding so many goals we're not going to get anywhere near promotion, and that's something that will require some pretty big changes in both personnel and coaching.

I really hope dirty Leeds don't go up. I don't have much interaction with their fans, but the cockiness/arrogance is strong in here!

If you’re referring to CP Lad you’re talking out your backside again, he’s never been cocky or arrogant on here and in contrast remarkably restrained despite what gets levelled at him.

Cheers mate.

Some decent lads on here who you can have a good reasoned debate with and chat about the league we are both in. I certainly dont think i am cocky or arrogant on here and you dont get invited into someones house for a brew and start rooting through the kitchen cupboards :D. Best league in the world as far as im concerned. Love it when things are going well.

You were quick to turn Billy Sharpe into Reading.

Invited in? Dream on.

Just seen that Connor Mahoney is 22 now. For some reason I thought he was still a teenager, time flies. Not sure how he’s doing at Brum but you’d think he’d be wanting to break into the Bournemouth team or will be off next season.

Seen it all before. They always seem to wriggle out of it despite clearly being an absolute trainwreck financially. In any other business arena an entity as dysfunctional as Bolton would have been dissolved years ago. We're obviously not exactly a beacon of financial stability but other than that odd period where we were surviving on payday loans the club itself has never been in a position of receiving winding up orders, etc.
