I thought they were going on ifollow for uk subscribers ?

They are, but part of the deal is that Sky are allowed to show all Championship midweek games too.

Not everyone who subscribes to Sky has ifollow, and vice versa.

More and more of our fans have moved away from the BB1/2/3 etc area in recent years and midweek matches are always a mad rush for such folk. As well as many local residents as Hasta pointed out on another thread.

I'd expect midweek attendances to fall off a cliff, especially when it becomes the norm.

Very shortsighted of the 'EFL', but what else can you expect from that shambolic organisation...

So does this mean midweek games are not on ifollow?

Overseas subscribers

It seems that all midweek games that are not selected for TV coverage in that area will be on ifollow

The link below you can select country / league /team and it tells you what games are not on ifollow in your particular country

https://www.efl.com/broadcast-schedule/

I just did Aus and then Malta and it gave different results, for instance this Saturday game is available on ifollow in Malta but not in Aus as it on TV. No midweek games apart from the League cup come up as unavailable on ifollow for each country

Full midweek Championship rounds live

There are eight rounds of midweek Sky Bet Championship matches this season and Sky Sports Football will broadcast matches live on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

And as part of a brand new service, Sky Sports viewers will be able to press the red button and watch live coverage of ANY of the matches being played.

That means you'll be able to watch YOUR team live when they play in midweek, no matter which Sky Bet Championship club you support.
