Ask for this messageboard since people are getting stress over it.

Im very chilled out atm.

If you are so chilled out, why are you asking so many people on twitter about transfers?

I will wait and see, some people are overreacting in that its a bit premature as there is nearly 3 hours left.

That said, its incredibly bizarre that you was saying we need 3 or 4 players before the window, but you are now saying that if we sign no one its still no big deal.

Sharpe saying that QPR turned down our bid due to lack of time to get a replacement.

He is now suggesting that Boro could offer a player as part exchange on top a fee to tempt QPR.

Knowing our luck Freeman will move to Boro and Chapman will go the other way as part of the deal

One problem this squad is not good enough to finish 14th . Its a squad that is barley any better than the squad that struggled to get out of League 1. A relegation battle looms unless something happens in the next 2.5 hours.

Saying we struggled out of league 1 is really doing a disservice to what the team achieved last season

Because you said it was a good deal for Wigan and then mentioned Lenihan in your next sentence.

If we got 6 million for Lenihan and he was loaned back, no I wouldn't think it was good business because he wouldn't be our player anymore. So he would always be outside of the squad and the managers long term thinking and planning

Biz mentioned Lenihan.

Following your logic above all loan signings would be poor business then?

That's us screwed in foreseeable future?

I could see this happening too! Then, Tony’s backup would be gone with his first option!

We didn't bid for a player knowing it would be rejected. What would be the point in doing that?

I think you are wasting your breath pursuing this one!

It has been confirmed by many sources, wha do you mean its nonsense?

Who are these 'many sources'?

It began about 9pm with Alan Myers pointing people in the direction of 'Sky Sources' and everything else has spun off that tweet.

Either way though it doesn't matter, because it seems highly unlikely he will be coming, so doesn't actually matter whether it was a real serious bid or not. We could bid £10 million for Messi, that doesn't mean it would ever happen or that we were even serious about it. Bids aren't serious if made knowing they won't be accepted or that personal terms wouldn't be agreed.

There is a huge difference between loaning an exciting prospect form Chelsea and selling one of our best players and having him loaned back to us.

You said the Burn deal was great business by Wigan. So by that logic us doing likewise with Lenihan would be great business, right?

So you don't believe we made the bid?

You are usually a good poster, don't join in the "we made the bid to look good, knowing it would not be accepted " brigade

No, but he isn't the same kind of player as Graham and he certainly won't hold the ball up for the likes of Dack like Graham does. Graham's ability to hold the ball up is integral to the way we play.

So maybe that will help produce a more attractive style of football, not having to play up to Graham so much. A front 4 of Armstrong, with benno, dack and palmer  behind sounds pretty decent to me. Much more mobile

We hardly romped home though did we. We were promoted with just 2 games to go. We were just fortunate that when we dropped points at Gillingham and Bristol during the run in Shrewsbury failed to take advantage otherwise it may have been a different story.

Squad badly needed improvements, Williams, Smallwood, evans, Conway, nuttall, Samuel, downing, caddis, gladwin all not good enough for this league. Money to spend apparently and where exactly have we strengthened. Our forward is 32 now and wasn’t mobile in his prime. Even leaving is this late is a shambles. Don’t know why we have been spoon fed rubbish all summer if our perm signings are 3 unproven players at this level and a stop gap from Chelsea
