Would be gutted to see Caddis leave now, he's my new favourite player - can do a job as 3rd choice.

He probably only works cash in hand £150 day rate too so not like he's doing any harm.

Highlight of my night yesterday was (after watching him try 3 times prior to fake cross and cut inside only to run straight into the defender) when Caddis did his man and unleashed a left foot shot that almost went in... my and my sister were in stitches quoting tractor boy "he's done him, he's done him!"

Irrelevant side info, I did my PGCE with his (Tractor Boys) younger sister... she's a beaut.

Agreed we should be turning our attentions to outs rather than ins though. There's 67 teams below us in the football league... surely one will want each of Gladwin, Hart, Caddis, Whittingham, Tomlinson or Nuttall.

Well, he gave an interview earlier in the year saying it had been a tough year, there were reports of him telling fans he is the most naturally gifted player at Rovers and he seems to suffer from perennial 'knocks' that rule him out of playing. I also seem to remember QPR fans having a fairly dim view of his levels of application and attitude.

I may be wrong but he appeared to carry 'knocks' throughout the summer and hasn't been near a matchday squad yet. Either way I'm not too bothered really, he's not going to get anywhere near the starting 11 as it stands and I think he will struggle to get near the bench unless he shows a massive improvement on his previous appearances. I think it would be best for all concerned if he went out on loan.

Davenport has a hip flexor issue, TM has mentioned it in press conference just not detailed the severity. The last I read about Gladwin was he was carrying a knock and wasn't fit for the Port Vale friendly, can't remember seeing anything since, admittedly I've not been looking out for information on his progress.

Are all clubs as secretive about injuries? I have no idea what is wrong with Gladwin or Davenport

I know, really strange. Didn't mention once what was up with Palmer either - I am sure I saw Rich Sharpe ignore the question a few times too. Still no actual news on the severity of Armstrongs injury either.

Hopefully we can bring in one or two more before window closes but, even if we don’t, I think we’ve had an excellent window and gone up a couple of levels. I can’t see any reason why we can’t have a promotion push this season.

i would like to see Chapman come back but don’t think it’s essential, we have lots of competition for those forward places. Plus, he’s out of contract next summer so we  can re-visit then. I think Bauer from Charlton will also end up here eventually.

I do think we’re a bit light at centre back, though, so that could be where we fall down a bit. If we get an injury there, we’re then relying on Downing, Rodwell, Williams to cover - none of them are proven centre backs at this level. We are struggling if Raya gets injured too.

Mercerman hasn't been around lately is he banned?

Nope! As far as I know, there’s only one person on any sort of ban and it’s not him!

He’ll be too sozzled with all the fine reds he’ll have been supping toasting this fine start.

Last night was one of those 4-1 's he's been regularly expecting we'll win by over the past few years so I hope he weighed in on it ?

Mowbray said earlier in the week Armstrong should be fit for BCFC. He also said Dack might not.

I think Rovers may well pay off Whittingham and let him move on for free.

Probably for the best.

Didn't he accept less weekly wage for a 2 year deal when he chose us over Cardiff? He probably only has about £350,000 left on his contract if he was on about £8k which is likely given our L1 status.

Doesn't sting anywhere near as much as the 4 year £30k per week Leon Worst was on (£7m).

Was buzzing when we signed whittingham, one of my top 3 transfers that has left me disappointed. Just hasn’t worked for him here

Maybe it hasn’t worked for him but I think it was a sign of intent at a crucial time in Rovers’ recent history. Who knows who else joined because we had signed such a credible Championship player in L1...
