Nonsense. It's all been happening already, with 3 hours to go.

We've paid off a pub player so he can hit the pubs. Given a Fisherman a new contract. Said Travis and Nuttall are going on loan, then said they probably almost certainly aren't but still might be. Heard Samuel won't be able to help us for the season, which we knew last season. And best of all, we've played amateur sleuths and zoologists by deciphering Twitter photos and cross-examining little pussies (not nearly as paedophillic as it sounds).

Hectic.

?? Harsh. But amusing.

We definitely still need a winger.

Sounds like West Brom are undoubtedly trying to appease their fans with this nonsense. What part of yesterday's statement did they not understand?

To be fair there wasn't a statement yesterday. There was a quickly produced story in the Telegraph saying that he wasn't for sale and we wouldn't entertain bids for him, which seems to have come from someone at Rovers, but there was nothing official released by Rovers/Mowbray/Waggott.

As said if the message issued was that he isn't available at any price why are they wasting precious time still pursuing him?

Either they aren't and Nixon is talking rubbish or the messages they're getting are different from those in the Telegraph yesterday and they think it is a possibility.

Usually I wouldn't go in for stuff like that. But if their first bid, 24 hours before the deadline was as little as £7million all in, then it genuinely sounds like they either haven't done their homework on what would realistically get accepted, or they're not expecting the bit to be accepted.

Might be an improved offer, but unless it has AT LEAST doubled, then the conversation doesn't even begin.

Regarding Dack, I think he loves it here and would be very surprised if he pushed to leave us to go to a Championship club. If a team comes down and offers £20m + that's different.

But for as long as we're trending upwards, I can't see him or Lenihan looking at anything except Premiership.

For the record of trending upwards, we've gone from 5-1 to 14-1 to be relegated.

That's where the money for brereton is coming from. And a nice profit too for Venkys. Jesus, we've only been up.4 games and they are flogging the family jewels again. Lenihan won't last the season. £30m there in them too as the market is...can't miss out on that the greedy feckers

Seems an odd figure to come back with when their initial offer was so low, that's in the Peter Risdale/Seth Johnson book of negotiations.

To be fair, they don't have the luxury of time to play around with. Either we accept an offer in the next hour or so or he stays. No point in messing around with derisory offers like they did yesterday (which was the real strange one)

15m bid rejected for Dack. From a proven Rovers source.

If you want to steal a team's star player, it's not a good idea to do it at the death like this, especially with no prior warning. It allows them no time to replace. You're going to get reluctance and, at best, higher prices.

The end of the window is best used for fringe players, prospects, and players you've chased all window (knowing the other team may have prepared a replacement). At that point you can pressure clubs to take the cash, or finish your poker games.

You're joking, right? There is zero indication of a bid being accepted or even a slight willingness to consider it. Until there is...chill. (if you weren't joking)

Selling dack would undo all the good work and feel good factor the club have done well to get back, it’s not the right time and not the right club to sell to. Can’t see this happening even if they offered 20 mill

Totally agree = plus some of the new signings are a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment whereas Dack is guaranteed quality.
