Few things that a few won't like but here it goes.

Dack will never survive in the premier league, good player but to slow no pace and poor fitness. Top championship level player not anything more.

We've brought all these midfielders in but the lad Josh Murphy showed why a winger with pace is so easy to use. He had anyone he went up against on toast.

Raya is not good enough. He's a complete liability and many will say oh well he saves shots. Here's a thing, he's meant to. Anything he has to think about goes in.

Manager is not good enough. Someone else stated he's been here two years. We are conceding just as many goals under this guy as we we're under Coyle. He's had money and time but hasn't fixed it. It's because he can't.

Danny Graham and Lewis Travis along with Lenihan were the standouts today.

We need a new goalkeeper. Left back and proper leader to go with Lenihan at the back.

You win games going kamakazie and scoring more than the opposition. You win titles or in our case promotion with a proper solid defence. He's had the money and the time and hasn't fixed it.

Conceding 4 at home to Newcastle reserves and a club in turmoil on and off the pitch that didn't really want to through anyway is pathetic no matter how you try to dress it up.

How many of those reserves wouldn't get in our team though? They are a premier league team, their reserves should be able to match us.

We did well to get back to 2-2 but once we were level we were extremely disappointing. Never showed the drive or desire needed to win the game.

So ended up soundly humiliated by Newcastle's reserves. Season over, roll on August by which time Derek, Corey, Richie, Elliott, Craig and Danny will no doubt have new five year extensions to their extensions.....

Change the record mate.  Nothing ever good enough.  The desire and drive was there, but maybe not the ability at key times. We were not humiliated and many of the players you slate did well.  You really need help.

As they were saying in the commentary on BT during the second half and most of the first half of extra time we were the team that looked likely to win. I would say only BB and Bell were disappointing.

3rd was maybe offside but it was a horrible blunder by Raya. If he couldn;t hold the shot he should at least have made sure he pushed the ball wide away from danger. Basic goalkeeping.

Said exactly the same to my lad on the way home. Didn’t think it was offside though, just rank bad keeping.

We conceded 2 in 90 minutes. One of those was an enormous deflection. There were a couple of times when the defending was not good enough, especially for their second, but there's no need to exaggerate. If we're talking about reserves, how about the fact that we only had one first team central defender available?

Could've played Downing. We shouldn't be agreeing to sell players without replacements lined up.

We have a quality young championship standard keeper who was playing behind a makeshift defence, well done lads we’ll work a tenner premier league fresher legs provailed

Do we though? The guys been a constant regular for around 2 years and you know the mistake he will make before he makes it.

Goalkeeper takes more than giving it a go you need to have a calmness about you or everyone in front of you plays on edge.

A cross came in during the 2nd extra time half and he would have been no where near it if one of the defenders hadn't cleared it first. He'd make me nervous as hell if I played in front of him. He doesn't inspire me with confidence.

What I will ask though is who had the worse game? Raya or Brereton because both were poor but it's not as costly up front being young and mistake prone.

Defending hasn't been good enough in the whole time Mowbray has been in charge. We are soft at the back. Newcastle are a poor side and conceding 4 to them is pathetic. Sorry

The trouble  lies with not having proper football people in charge of the club  . The Manager  says we had players missing at the back when we are selling a center half  and where crying out for a winger  with pace.  And when dose the new 7 million pounds lad go out on loan. We could and should have brought  3 players in with the money spent on him  Poor management  allround

Dack was ill you could see it and I wonder how many others out there were too.

TM has transformed this club from when he took over. We were a mess on and off it.

He has stated all along and even before the season started that this is a work in progress. If we went up this year we would come straight back down. I don't mind another year in the Championship if it means we are getting stronger.

Agree completely that Jacob Murphy is exactly the player we need.

Raya is young and will only improve and become a quality Premier league player. Left back is an issue as is a centre half. I like Lenihan, Mulgrew and Rodwell but 1 more is urgently needed.

All I am seeing from some people is a complete over reaction to an extra time defeat by a premier league team. That was by no means our strongest 11 but we went toe to toe with them for the most part of it!!

Love Rothwell but he looked disinterested tonight. Cant blame him thou.

we were unlucky here and our season is pretty much over now. We are definitely not going down and surly not making the play offs, are we?

I feel sorry for Rothwell. What does he have to do to get a game. Nuttall on the wing was baffling.

playing a barely able to move Graham for 120 minutes when we have a game Saturday was equally baffling

Not disputing that we've had too much of a soft underbelly. Newcastle are a poor side at the top level, but we're not at that level. Matt Ritchie is an attacking player which would easily get into any Championship team. Murphy would walk into the vast majority of Championship first XIs. Joselu will be earning comfortably more than any of our team.

Also, talking about tonight, we conceded 2 goals in 90 minutes. One of those was enormously unlucky. Pathetic is a massive exaggeration.
