Two interesting fixtures between teams in the mix above us which should mean dropped points - more reason to get at these and claim on 'paper' our easiest three points of the season.

Now that's put the kiss of death on it.

Exactly the sort of fixture we cock up.

Could see us being 2-0 down and coming back to draw.

Precisely!

It'll be a 2-2 draw.              If not, we'll win 5-0  ?

Either that or 4-0 at half time and coasting, then we have a nervous last 20 minutes and win 4-3

Haha. It's actually quite funny reading that. They could even have included a few more Pearlers in there.

Though I'm surprised they missed our ridiculous tactic of passing it back (sometimes even from  the oppositions half) back, back for Raya to give possession back to the opposing team.

Good to see Smallwood on the bench. Hopefully we can get in front and be in a position to bring him on late in the game to see out a win.

Like the look of that team.

Who will get on the pitch between Nuttall and Brereton?

Not confident with Bennet at RB but aside from that it looks good.

I’m just hoping it’s not Bennett at LWB Reed at RWB and Bell in a back three with Lenihan and Rodwell.. Not a bad side on paper I like the idea of Travis Reed and Evans as a midfield three with Dack behind Armstrong and Graham. Starting both Evans and Smallwood is way too negative. With those three all bring different strengths too the table.. COYB

It has too be Brereton simply because his confidence can’t take any more knocks. The lads at rock bottom and needs a goal. Think Ewood would erupt if he came on and bagged.

0-0 until 65-70 odd mins - around that time the subs will be made (so we'll be down to 10 men) and we'll lose 0-1.

How's that for confidence? ?

Though the line-up is better than we could have expected. It's a line-up that would encourage a walk-on Ewood visit (unless you're against the surcharges).

Ipswich haven't won at Ewood since 91 and Lambert has never beaten Rovers as a manager.

Mortgage on an away win, it's a licence to print money.

"Fun" bet, Ipswich to win 18-0 @ 8,000,000 to 1. Put £4000 on it.

I've got you covered Mercer, so you don't need to bother.

Yes strange thing this with Rovers. You can count on it, if a team or a player have had a bad run lately it will turnaround when you play against us. I also think when players score their first goals for a club or a debut goal, it is against us.

Any news of starting line ups yet ?    Both managers appear to be keeping it late to announce their teams.    Nice fixture this, Tony Mowbray is a respected figure with us and Lambert after initial doubt is starting to fit in and supporters are taking to him.     Paying for fifty of our fans to travel up which is a nice gesture but is he going a bit too far with all this benevolence ?    Next thing you know he'll be offering to wash the team strips and fertilise the pitch.  ?

We're an hour away now and going to be busy this afternoon with other stuff and not going to keep up with scores.   Find out what occurred after the game's over and provide opinion on both clubs forums when the time is right.     Stats say no Town squad has won away there since 1991 in the League which caught me out but of course think of the time both clubs have been in separate leagues and not able to play each other.

2002 always come to mind when we play you.   Blackburn won their last trophy, made a bit of news in the sport, and we ourselves slipped out of the premier league and never (as yet) made it back.    Way things are going it could take even longer as we're on the verge of League One right now and therefore we have to beat you today.   No other outcome is really going to be of any use.   People thinking you'll win by four of five are going to be disappointed, we're not that bad and as before we have a number of new players in that are going to strengthen the team.   You'll need a victory to keep in touch with any chance of a top six finish but in truth don't think you'll make it with the points needed and games remaining - whereas we won't stay up for the same reason.

Have a good game OK may the best team win.   Let's hope it's entertaining with both teams going for it, you never know we just may surprise ourselves.

Not sure anyone believes we gonna win by 4 or 5 nil - we just dont do that kind of scoreline these days.

Strong team from us. Is Nyambe injured though? I would certainly have him in and then Lenihan or Graham as captain.

Ah Lambert needs to get new players into their team, they were shite. Collins and Judge are decent signings. We just need to score first and get the doubt back into them. Letting them score will give them encouragement.

See Lambert paid for the bus for their fans? Hopefully that's the highlight of their day.
