Our youngster Brad Lyons is starting today for St Mirren at home against Hibs. Lining up with a certain Simeon Jackson.

It’s the lunchtime game on Sky Sports. Keep your eye on number 14.

He was sent off in the cup so his suspension will only apply in the cup.

The second yellow card (simulation) was rescinded by the Scottish FA, so no ban.

Assist from Lyons, Jackson goal.

The young lad did well there. Excellent burst, strength and cross.

From the BBC Live Reporting feed: "First blood to St Mirren, on their first real attack.

Brad Lyons is too quick for Darren McGregor on the left and thumps and inviting cross in for Simeon Jackson to ram in from the edge of the six yard box."

Encouraging that he's apparently faster than Darren McGregor.

Sorry just seen this thread . Just said the same in the transfer window thread ..good start for the lad .

Main concern is St.Mirren are becoming the whipping boys in the Scots Prem ..hope its the right environment for the lad to develop ..especially confidence wise .
