I know loads of things you’d don’t 47er (;)) but sadly on this occasion I’m hypothesising. Similarly to Olsson - with the way we’re moving (academy key to first team development) there are obvious reasons to name ex-graduates as potential targets.

Im sure there are plenty of other centre-backs in similar limbo around the prem.

You're dangling the possibility of Hanley returning as a cause for optimism when you know full well there is no evidence at all that he will! We all know that if various players we would like Rovers to sign are signed we have cause for optimism! But it won't be that way will it? I could list the names of several players  who might be available and might come to us but I won't because its pointless and false.

In fact, its highly likely that given his wages, which I don't see Norwich subsidising to the degree that suits us, that they'll be stuck with him or he'll go to a richer club.

So, optimism based on known facts or informed speculation=good thing! And vice versa!

Foderingham will play the first half for Rangers and the 2nd half for Rovers.

Better than Fisher & The Canadian sharing the gloves!

No Scott Carson for Derby today. 👀

Got to say, I think our side is better than that.

I am sorry what the hell is going on at the club. Deals drag out for weeks. No goalkeeper this weekend. Turning into a clown fiesta

TBH - I am not surprised as we only have a limited budget - especially for wages. Maybe if we sold more Season Tickets it would be different 🤔

Offensively, I think we are right up there.

Alas, a piss poor defence that doesn’t seem to be getting resolved.

Tbf, an article I read the other day about Carson made out that he was now effectively third choice - so technically it could mean nothing that he is not playing.

Cut him some slack. Let's not pressure him into giving info he can't so he loses his contact like Madon did.

No Hart involved for Burnley either...

Scrap that, he’s on the bench for their other game.

I don't disagree. If we get a decent centre half, keeper and left back then expectations should be to aim for promotion.

I agree but never forget a team with Danny Simpson at fullback won the Prem...!

Does that mean it’s sorted then?

You said we weren’t far away, I presume that means from the top 6? So an improved side ergo has us challenging, no?

No extremes with me as we’ll be mid table again, it’s you that sounds like he needs to cool your jets.

Where is the improved ‘game management’ coming from defensively, by the way? Just this keeper who we don’t even know? Or a young lad who’s hardly played centre half?

Jeez, do you think that game management just comes from Defenders?

Why would I think that? Danny Graham is the best example of a player with it in the squad.

If you read, I say where is it coming from defensively, i.e from the existing defence with possibly a young loanee who’s hardly played centre half. One of the worst defences in the country last season, remember?

Maybe an old 6 foot something GK with a big mouth ?

Sounds great, he’s going to instill this into an entire defence?

A defence of two young full backs, possibly a young centre half and a converted midfielder who though good, is prone to rash decision making.

No, but he, DG, Johnson, Downing and our defence with another year of experience might?

For what it’s worth I expect us to sign an experienced CB too..
