No signing Harrison and White.....yes we have Charlie Adams training  ???

One was on loan their last season and the other is only a young lad. Like the goalkeeper we signed who you were complaining about.  If/when Clarke and Philips go they will be considerably weaker.

It's Adam, no s at the end.

Fake news

He was doing what he always did, the reason Ferguson got rid of him this time was because he wasn't the same player and was getting injured a lot. The right call in fairness from a football point of view, but Ferguson only used the MUTV thing as an excuse.

Not fake. It's from fergies own mouth

Monk has left under a cloud and strange circumstances from all 4 of his jobs when at the time results weren't particularly bad. Maybe he's the modern Billy Davies who despite good results at all his clubs seems to never last anywhere and falls out with people.

The Manager , the agent and the wiped laptop , no not us (that  would be the owners , just like family members and the FA wiped laptops :) )

I have worked with people who have either worked or negotiated with Steve Gibson and they all say he plays with a straight bat. Hopefully he is irked enough (and has the evidence) to push this all the way. My fear though is that the FA are so weak and will not pursue it as vigorously as they should. He should bypass them and go through a civil court.

Lots of resonances!

Go for it, Mr Gibson...

Sounds a bit like Souness, who seemed to buy a lot of players represented by Willie McKay or whatever his name was. The Ferguson deal was a bit dodgy, in that he turned up, played crap for a few months and then claimed to be homesick.

I remember Souness was a shareholder in an agency and there was a furore when we signed Andy Cole who was a client of said agency. Souness received a dividend as a result of the profits and increased share price. There were several other high profile managers who had shares too.

SFX rings a bell.

Never trust a monk.

Wasnt there a manager that wanted a % in sell on fees for players they recruited?

That is quiet common in managers contracts. It came to light when Hollowhead was at Blackpool. He bought Matt Phillips cheap and was in for a cut of the profit when they sold him for a large fee.

In The Times this morning that it was the use of his agent in all club transfers that led to his sacking at Birmingham.

Plus, Leeds banned the agent from the training ground and Monk from being involved in transfers.

Up to his neck in it by the sounds of it... bet the training ground was jumping though

Hopefully Monk has made himself pretty much unemployable now. There are too many of his kind in cahoots with agents and other 'third parties'.

Strange to see such a young and relatively inexperienced manager involved in something like this. You might expect it from an older head who has built up various contacts and a track record in the game, but not so much from somebody who started managing five years ago. You have to think it's going to be difficult for him to get back in the game in England for a while.
