1864roverite
Sad to hear of John Lowey passing away this week aged 61. Never will I forget the rocket he scored v Forest at home and Sheffield Wed away when I was on the home end going crazy. RIP John

arbitro
The sad news just keeps on coming. John was a rough, tough player who was converted from a centre forward into a midfielder. He thrived in his new position and was part of a hard Rovers team at that time. Nobody took liberties with them. I used to know his wife quite well as she worked in some of the local Sports Centres. RIP.
McClarky
Remember his free kick away at Sheffield Weds, an absolute cracker. Not a great player but always gave his all for the teaM. RIP

Mercer
John Lowey and Kevin Stonehouse were two honest lads who always gave their best in the famous blue and white shirt. Both provided some great moments back in those days. RIP.
