Backroom Tom Posted February 8, 2020 Backroom Share Posted February 8, 2020 Another good Walton stop followed by a howler that he got away with Trav and Nyambe playing well, JRC and Johnson struggling Second best but still wide open this one

Doug
Even first half. Travis the outstanding player. No real chances for us though.

Wing Wizard Windy Miller
TM will be delighted here. We're creating next to nothing and its 0-0 HT. All going to plan. Hopefully we nick something late on.

You have to manage different personalities differently - not everyone is a motivated self-starter. Some need an arm round the shoulder, some need a boot up the arse. From the outside looking in, Chapman has been brought in and left to 'prove himself' in the reserves for 6 months, despite our first team screaming out for pace and width. He doesn't even make the bench - some personalities react to that by taking their ball and going home.
yellowsubmarine
We neutralised Fulham and brought them to our level in the first half. 0-0 i guess overall its a fair score for now. Can't see where our goal threat is. Gallagher again ineffective on the wings. Johnson guilty of quite a few misplaced passes. Travis and maybe Walton probably the standout players so far. He could not flick his hair out of his eyes though. Gallagher's main strength. 44 % possession with no shots on target and no corners by us - BBC. Fulham have fouled more than us too.
Husky
Yawn. Nothing here to encourage the end of my Mowboycott.
Exiled in Toronto
Tight game but we have contained them well. There’s no doubt they have better players than us in how they zip the ball around. Definitely playing to a plan of not over-committing. The one time Fulham looked dangerous was when our counter-attack broke down with Armstrong on the edge of their box. 1-0 to someone will do it. OldEwoodBlue
Too static up front. Poor half really. Hope for more movement second half to create a few opportunities. Zero shots that half. 1-0 will do nicely.
Fraserkirky
Well at least we managed to get through the first half without a catastrophic injury.

Couldn't get a sniff at boro, came here to get a chance to prove himself. Doesnt seem like hes up for it. Theres always darts if he doesn't want to push on. skous18
Id take Johnson, Gallagher and Costello off for Davenport , Brereton and Bennett
joey_big_nose
We've got to go 442. JRC totally ineffective. Why not just shift JRC right and Gallagher up front.

Trinidad Rover
Exactly what you would expect with arguably our 3 best technical players missing. Solid enough. Gallagher really is poor though. Dear oh dear. Johnson also 3 Miles off the pace. Edited February 8, 2020 by Trinidad Rover
