Those pictures are truly shocking. The current Board surely have a duty of care to maintain Ewood Park for the future for new generations of supporters.

Do Mr Waggott and co not see the mess as they enter their offices?

And to think, when I mentioned how I expect little to be done to commemorate our 150th, I got the piss taken by a few on here...

I keep reading from several posters that Venkys are paying the bills. Presumably that does not cover the cleansing and maintenance bills.

And Mowbray saw fit to give a month's extra money to players he had no intention of playing.

A decade of decay sums that lot up perfectly.

He should have shoved a paint brush and a tin of paint in their hands and told them to earn their keep for a month.

Just the same as the team and management everybody down there needs a kick up the arse now and again. Nobody there to do though due to the void between Ewood and India and their reliance on the same agent pals to install people in office.

Maybe someone would be so kind as to train Pasha in the art of the knapsack sprayer i doubt he does much else for his money.

It's like looking after any property, including your own home, don't keep up with the maintenance and it starts to look tatty and unkempt.  The daft thing is, it will cost them more to put it right (assuming they're bothered) than it they had maintained the ground properly.

Anyone looking at Ewood would say that there is a club with a management that doesn't care and has no pride.

There's a certain breed of supporter who regard any sort of criticism of their club as blasphemous, no matter how justified it is.

Our friend in question only chooses to defend the indefensible on subjective matters when he thinks he can win a do.

Agreed. That pic infuriates me though.

It really isn't the huge job they make out to maintain the grounds around the place.

My theory is that because the club has a small fanbase, stadium maintenance is low on their to-do list. It's not really that funny to think how Ben Gladwin's charitable contract extension could pay for just a bit of TLC around the stadium to keep up appearances.

The last time I was at Ewood was when Paul Lambert was manager. The stadium roof above the terracing would leak when it rained. The exterior stadium walls looked rain-stained (or whatever you call it). Nothing a jet wash couldn't handle. That was five years ago! Seems like nothing much has been done about it.

The least they will have to do is paper over the cracks by the time fans return. The nicer thing to do would be to restore some pride into the stadium and sort out these issues. I suspect the BBE upper still leaks when it rains, but if you don't sort it out, you'll probably end up with bigger costs in the long-run.

And to think one of our former heroes funeral procession went right through there two days ago. You’d think someone would have been ashamed and embarrassed enough to make it look a bit respectable for such an occasion.

Possibly the banners are being replaced too. 50ft mural depicting Ben Brereton's goal against Bolton.

It doesn’t matter what any of us thinks Waggott will blame Covid, lockdown and furlough.

But, once again, a club in need who has a good relationship with fans could easily find volunteers to help rally round to sort stuff like this.

But if a chief exec is on a six figure salary and we have billionaire owners who could easily fix this, if they cared, it leaves a sour taste.

Maybe some of these photos should be tweeted over to India to highlight what a decade of Venkys ownership looks like.

That, Stuart, is a brilliant suggestion.

The neglect of Eeood Park isn't really a new issue, John William's used to comment quite frequently ten years or more ago at the Fans Forum that ground maintenance issues had been deliberately overlooked in an attempt to maximise the playing budget.

This seems to be taking it to a whole new level. though.Shocking really when things like the weeds could be so quickly and cheaply sorted out. Great idea to send the  pictures to the owners who Iimagine would be appalled.

I wonder if Deepdale,Turf Moor or the Breezeblock are presently in such a bloody mess...

I'll bet Gigg Lane doesn't look like that and nobody's playing there at the moment !
