Really poor that but the buck stops with Nyambe. Is too deep in the wonky defensive line and rather than go with the runner steps up for offside. It's down to the 2 full backs to get that line right as they can see right across - poor from Nyambe that.

We might say Mowbray’s possession football doesn’t work; but, maybe that’s what has kept us so close today.  Maybe Arma will be the difference maker

If you watch Newcastle's defensive shape when we are tippy tappying around the edge of the area, they barely need to change it. We don't make enough runs to pull their shape apart. Players move a bit, but only to receive a pass and keep it recycling around the edge. Too easy to defend against.

(So far of course, could always change especially with subs)
