Look what might happen when you actually take a shot or two. We don't need to score the perfect team goal. Just give it a blast in there when you get the chance - as Johnson had to do last time out.

BB showing alot more interest in the second half. I'm convinced there is a player in there. He just looks like he needs a good shake or something ffs

Rankin Costello lacks pace and anticipation

Many of the players lack anticipation, it is as though they are playing an alien game ..

No ball games sense ..

BB gets one sniff and a shot away and he starts to come alive.  He’s had nothing supplied to him today tbf

Playing possession football is good but you need to score when clearly on top! On a positive note nufc squad valued over £45m and we are outplaying them so something good is happening on the playing front

Awful decision from the ref to give handball against Dolan there a minute ago. It was smashed against his upper arm/shoulder from a few yards away whilst momentum was carrying him forward. He would have had to have no arm to not 'handball' that.

Shocking backline for their goal.

Really poor that but the buck stops with Nyambe. Is too deep in the wonky defensive line and rather than go with the runner steps up for offside. It's down to the 2 full backs to get that line right as they can see right across - poor from Nyambe that.

They can just put Saint-Maximin on against Bell and finish this match whenever they want

100%.

We might say Mowbray’s possession football doesn’t work; but, maybe that’s what has kept us so close today.  Maybe Arma will be the difference maker

If you watch Newcastle's defensive shape when we are tippy tappying around the edge of the area, they barely need to change it. We don't make enough runs to pull their shape apart. Players move a bit, but only to receive a pass and keep it recycling around the edge. Too easy to defend against.

(So far of course, could always change especially with subs)

Holtby really hasn’t got 90mins in him at the pace we’ve been playing. Looked shot at.

It's more of a case that Newcastle allow us to dominate them rather than us imposing on them.

While you got the fork out, can you shake it at Mowbray who still perseveres with playing Brereton out on the right wing.
