Rovers vs. Wycombe - 19th Sept, 3pm

excellent performance today. 5 goals from16 shots on target from 23 total shots.

Armstrong is a striker and should play the 9 role, he's goal machine. Deserved his hat trick.

This 4-3-3 formation is working well and suits Rothwell and Holtby so well and our front 3.

Just a shame we wasn't at the stadium watching this performance

I think the problem Mowbray's going to have is that Dack's return unbalances this side.

I'm not sure where he plays in a 4-3-3. Will probably have to go back to his 4-2-3-1 formation, which could be a shame considering how good we've looked recently.

Dack should be on the bench to start off.

Just what we needed after a couple of results which didn't really reflect how well we'd been playing. Yes it was only Wycombe, but you can only beat the teams put in front of you and we did that today in style. A shame that BB didn't manage to net but his overall play was good and he contributed in more ways than Gallagher could have imo.

Dolan looking like he could become a star here. Early days but he's confident, positive and making an impact. Keep it up! Rothwell had an excellent game as well, but he needs to find some consistency and produce against the better teams as well. Arma picking up where he left off last season - might be some serious interest from other clubs in January if he keeps this form up.

Need to get to get past October before we worry about January

Five without conceding. Can’t ask for any more than that. The team selection proved right today but with all due respect to Wycombe they did allow us to get forward in that first half without causing us any problems. JRC spent much of his time in their half rather than our own. If we can get left back sorted then we have a decent squad.

Just need Mowbray to decide on his best side and let them loose. Dolan has proved to be a revelation and the spark that we have needed for a while.

How we accommodate Dack will be very interesting. Travis being injured might just have taken a huge headache away in selection but formation will be interesting.

One swallow and all that but we are off the mark. Now we need some consistency.

The most enjoyable 90 minute performance from Rovers in ages. Super stuff.

A reminder why a baseball cap and sunglasses are needed on a bright mid September afternoon on The Riverside had we been there.

Who could ever doubt mercerman's big balls and ultimate wisdom!

COYB!

This is without Dack, Travis, Gally, Evans and Manning (?). Can only see positives right now.

And Ayala.

Edit - sorry, pointed out 2 times already. Mods feel free to delete.
