I know fans love to exaggerate but that's not true. He drew their guy into getting sent off after winning the ball and bursting away. He had a lovely control and pass in the middle of the park on a break away earlier. He is, however, underwhelming overall, especially out wide, and the miss will be costly.

I think this is accurate. I suppose the frustration is that he is a million pound player but we paid a lot more when no-one except the Rovers' management team had seen any evidence that he can score regularly at this level.

Mowbray now forced to play him after such a large investment. We are always more effective when he is injured.

COYB!!!!!!!

I'm not that angry about the result as conditions were poor and we at least kept a clean sheet... but it feels like Mowbray instantly lost a chunk of recently built up goodwill by bringing Gallagher out onto the right flank again. Is he even worth £500k now, let alone £5m?

7 points from 9 not a bad return just before the international break hits, but worrying signs today of normal service resuming. Cardiff going down to 10 was probably the worst thing that could have happened as it put the emphasis on us to attack and unlock them... and without Dack that's something we still seem unable to do.

And just like that out of nowhere we revert to the absolutely worst finishing from everyone involved imaginable. Chance after chance and absolutely no clue how to take a good shot. Pub level finishing.

Massively disappointed but it comes down to the manager failing to keep the team consistent and motivated enough.

Hope we don't react too negatively to this disappointing result.

If we continue with this decent start to the season, we will be ok.

Time for criticism is November, not now.

Today has reminded us that squad & manager are a decent championship standard, with a chance of 5th or 6th place, rather than dreaming of leading the division a xmas, which is what I've been fantasising about all week.

Keep the faith, boys n girls....

Tough game. Tough conditions.

We never really got going.

Part of me thinks we would have contrived to lose that one last year.

Frustrating and things to work on.

Will take the point I suppose ?

Another clean sheet. Ayala looked composed. Cardiff never threatened.

Not ideal, but I'll take a point in those conditions.
