Popular Post GHR
Very rarely I have a go at refs as most of them are subpar these days, but I'll make an exception for the one today. Absolutely abysmal.

Dreams of 1995
Not good enough really. The quality of referees in this league is appalling. There’s a lot on the line in the championship and the quality of refereeing should reflect that
booth
A point against 12 man Luton.
West Yorks Rover
7 points off the top 6, 7 points above the bottom 3. Disappointing, to say the least and PNE have won their 1st home game of the season, indeed 1st home points, so they have got that monkey off their backs, we know what happens next.
Feed the Yak
Never been so livid with a "referee" in my life. Shameful. What's his name? Edit: Gavin Ward. Hope he's not reffing another of our games again this season. Edited November 21, 2020 by Feed the Yak
WacoRover
I will take a point, it’s progress. Disappointing, nonetheless.

Foul if he didn't jump for the ball. Was bundled over a few times in the first half and the ref waved play on. He was taken out from behind in the penalty area and the ref waved play on and obviously he's been booked for getting hacked down there. If we had standards in this league, this lad wouldn't ref again this year.
simongarnerisgod
i don`t suppose you can moan about a point away from home but we are going to have to raise our game another 50% against pne, they are a far better side than luton and i doubt we can match them after our exertions today, unless tony has some master plan up his sleeve
darrenrover
Poor performance really, just about got all we deserved. I've no idea what the ref's thinking at the death, @arbitro get your boots and whistle cleaned. Feck off Mercer, you haven't a clue! I bet the knob enders are quaking in their boots! yellowsubmarine
How can Brereton's foul not been a penalty?! The defender's shin clearly blocked off Brereton's. I hope he gets punished. Poor refereeing Gavin Ward.
tomphil
Abysmal ref but lets not hide everything behind that it was another water treading performance. Plus side is we used to lose those.

CambridgeRover
So I googled the ref and his name is Darren Bond and he comes from a "footballing family" and was born in Lancashire. Now if that isn't the start of a football conspiracy theory I don't know what is Also was the referee when we lost to Luton 3-2 last season Edited November 21, 2020 by CambridgeRover

If there aren't some sort of repercussions for that ref after this game then it will be a fucken joke. It's not even that important a game really, but I am livid. The foul on Arma was one of the most obvious you will ever see. He needs flogging for that decision alone. Edited November 21, 2020 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! He’s from Sutton Coldfield which is a quite a regular drinking spot for me. Here’s to hoping I never have to ask him what his problem with Brereton is. Don't bother, just give him a business card from the local opticians.

He didn't deserve a yellow for the supposed dive, which is what it was for I imagine. If it was just no foul given, and he reacted like that, would probably still be yellow but he couldn't be blamed for being angry and in that refs face. Utter joke.
