Buckley at right back? Long afternoon ahead

That's an interesting sub.

With Armstrong up top we've always got a chance on the break. Holding out for 45 mins with 10 men is a long way out of our comfort zone though.

A loss today is okay considering recent results. Losing Lenihan for multiple games is a huge blow though. Hope we can appeal.

Pretty much every striker does it, Gallagher identical at Preston, get across and hope the defender is silly enough to commit the foul

Lenihan is experienced enough to know better to be honest

Anyway Buckley on at right back is an interesting one and shows we still need to add depth

Nothing alike - Gallagher had man beaten. Ran across him and the bloke tripped him.

Toney just waited for any sort of contact and threw himself to the ground. It's a yellow card for diving.

Looking at the replay that all stemmed from Lenihan's positioning. He is completely incapable of positioning himself well. Not only is he out of position compared to the rest of the defensive line he allows Toney to get between himself and the ball. Lenihan has fallen off this year and he is no longer someone to build around in the future,

We’ve had the rub of the green a little of late so can’t moan too much but Toney goes down like a deck of cards there. Looked pretty 50/50 to me.

Exactly!

Think the 'ups and downs' tend to balance out over a season.

Yeah, you're bang-on with the positioning. It's made worse because he's not alive to it either, somehow.

We were absolutely all over them before that.
I am more upset with Lenihan over the completely unnecessary booking on the touch line. Penalty is harsh, but he is completely brainless at times.

Did he get a yellow? BBC just showing a red.

Before the red card I thought Trybull, Johnson and Rothwell were playing excellent. What a shame and it’s absolutely killed the game for us. We say it every week but the quality of referees at this level is nothing short of shambolic. But we rode our luck with decisions vs Millwall so all teams are suffering the same poor decisions.

Thought Toney grabbed Lenihan as much as Lenihan grabbed Toney. Silly to grapple in the area but it was extremely soft. Referee couldn't wait to give it that's for sure.

Ayala is really going to have to Marshall the defense now. Feel for John Buckley in a right back. Gallagher is going to have to give him a hell of a lot of defensive support.

Decisions change matches.

IMO, Lenihan hasn't been 'at it' for some time - a liability who needs dropping.

Not sure Ayala is going to last the match - doesn't seem fully fit to me.
