Downing has played well, a couple of risky backwards passes aside.

Dolan hasn't been in the danger area with the ball in space much, sure, but his touch, control, dribbling and intelligence has been streets ahead of the rest. Some of the lads just not on his wavelength or he would have been creating chances. Once someone does free him up in that danger area he will roast this lot. Doncaster also putting 2 or 3 men on him as soon as he gets the ball.

thats our big problem,we`ve got half a dozen players with speed of a greyhound but we continually **** about with short passes that go nowhere enabling the opposition to get back and mark easily, play to your strengths ffs, draw the opposition on and hit them on the break

Dolan needs to release the ball earlier - he wants too many touches.

Downing slows everything down - like he did last year. He retains possession, yes, but he allows the other team to get into their defensive shape.

Absolutely. Sick of it being so screamingly obvious yet our professional management team insisting on playing the same way.

Buckley looks good on the ball going forwards, but he isn't a fullback. Trybull looks tidy as a defensive player but doesn't offer that much else. Bell is awful but I can kind of see why we play him - he is stretching their defence simply by being there and being fast. Dack is neat but not up to speed yet. Dolan and Brereton running at their defenders look the biggest threat.
