  1. I was actually joking, after five pages of that merry go round I have wasted 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back.

  2. Just to update on this I was speaking to one of our blind fans last night and Rovers have apparently put in a temporary arrangement wheteby partially sighted fans can listen to the commentary feed for free via a laptop in a room in the Blackburn End. This chap was of the view that it wasn't as good as being on the ground with the commentary feed but was better than being on tbe ground without the feed. He's also under tbe impression Rovers are hoping to do something which would incorporate the best of both worlds. Well done to Rovers for doing this, i was fairly critical on this point before so it's only right I redress the balance. Any partially sighted fans interested in this service should contact Christine Peacock at the Club. You can also of course pay for the commentary feed at home via the internet. I follow or whatever it's called.

  3. Yer, I get that it's difficult to pick things up on a message board. People tend to go instantly into defensive mode and start hitting back with insults, which I suppose is to be expected. I'd have to be smart before I can be a smart arse!

  4. Lancs making hay at Durhams financial plight. Some strong words from the club today. It will be very interesting how they intend to grow the club. I like the idea of trying to use the clubs resources to try to improve the numbers playing cricket for fun, rather than just talent spotting, I have concerns Freddie is the right man to do this. I welcome him as a talisman, but I'm not sure he has the time or ability to do this. Nice to see the club wanting to develop away from the last few decades of pretty meandering teams.

  5. Cardiff City, the club managed by Neil Warnock, who was rejected as manager by Blackburn Rovers in 2016 in favour of Owen Coyle, are at this present time sitting 3 points ahead of their nearest rivals, Leeds United, at the top of the Championship after going 3-0 up on their second placed Yorkshire rivals tonight. Former Rover Junior Hoilett scored for Cardiff and 27,000 fans were in the stadium. I mention this only in passing as we scuffle among the deadbeats in the third division.

  6. Kings potential was obvious and he was badly mismanaged whilst at rovers. There is no question king is in a different league to Rhodes and will go on to have the better career. However at the time Rhodes was prolific in front of goal and nobody in their right mind would have dropped rhodes for king. If I had a choice of the two now it's king all day. If your asking who was the better rovers player it's Rhodes and anybody who wouldn't have him before Danny Graham needs their head examined

  7. I always rated King when he was here his potential was obvious. However I'm sorry I brought the whole thing up now my head hurts after reading the last couple of pages!

  8. Its a bit late in the day to start hailing King as a brilliant talent. He was at Rovers for 2.5 seasons and apart from a couple of games was useless. If he's decided to knuckle down at Bournemouth then good for him but I saw very little from him at Rovers to wish he was back here. If he came back tomorrow but then reverted back to the King we had last time then we wouldn't really benefit from it. Whether its down to his attitude, fitness or his manager, nobody can say his time at Rovers was a success. Rhodes in 3.5 years said he was upset we didn't allow him to speak to Middlesbrough. After that he was fit, ready to play and banged 11 more league goals in before he was sold. Rhodes did the business for Rovers. King did nothing except beat Stoke in the cup but has since done well.
