  1. Instead of looking at miniscule rule infringements the EFL should be championing Stanley as an example of a well run club who operate within a small budget and are on the verge of promotion. Andy Holt has been an excellent and responsible owner and deserves to be given more respect by faceless bureaucrats who don't live in the real world. Embarrassing is the only word for them.

  2. Surely Travis needs integrating back into the first team fold now. Kid will have learnt his lesson.

  3. Song of the season for me has been Oldham doing 'Just Can't Get Enough' at Ewood.

  6. Personally think you are being slightly overcritical there. Using phrases like "unceremoniously dumped" is perhaps a bit melodramatic in my opinion. You mention his unwillingness at times to play youngsters but would they have been able to guarantee the consistency of results that the experienced players have provided? Is it 1 loss in 29(?), and 26 points from the last 10 games. To be fair, a point you have gone onto acknowledge. You mention moving Bennett aswell, Bennett has been very good at right back and I feel Evans has justified his selection alongside Smallwood so for me theres little scope to suggest that Travis in either position would have been better. Regarding the individuals, i felt that Nuttall broke onto the scene, 2 goals in what was primarily a first team and youth team hybrid tournament really, plus 2 goals off the bench which he deserves credit for. Following that though, I felt that both in his starts and his sub appearances, he didnt do anything of note and at times (like Samuel to be fair) looked slightly disinterested. Travis' lack of discipline could have cost us, that said you learn from your mistakes but nows not the time to throw in the kids. Its a time for experience and know how. Both have gained valuable experience this season and are prospects going forward. I understand the desire to get the youngsters into the team, especially considering their success for the u23s, but on this I side with Mowbray; i feel that our results have truly vindicated his choice of plumping for experience. Theres no rush either, id like to see Travis and Nuttall perhaps really involved in pre season, ahead of Caddis and Samuel regardless of division really.

  7. That was annoyingly brilliant, they were rocking and I was quite jealous at that point. I’ve got young kids so at the moment am subjected to ‘Baby Shark’ playing constantly in my head so I vote we just sing everything in that tune so everybody else has to suffer my fate!

  8. The lad is pure quality on his day. His pace on the break would be deadly for us if we get promoted. I pray we keep him for another season at least. Wish he could persuade Jacob Murphy to join him here too.

  9. I hid it, not removed it. I counted sixteen insults directed at the individuals. Yes that is an attack, not reasonable criticism. You need to understand the difference.

  10. I think they are holding off because they won't have even considered season tickets for next season yet. We may have appointed a new Chief Executive but the old Venky ways remain. They need to authorise expenditure and consent to major decisions and will do that at their annual summit meeting once this season is out of the way. Until then everything will be on hold. Waggott presumably doesn't have the authority to make such decisions which are precisely the sort of things he should be doing. Notice how a good number of other clubs in various divisions and league positions have made the decision to get their prices announced and season tickets on sale early doors (including those who 'don't know what league they're going to be in next year'. We'll wait until the season is out of the way and people are out of the matchday habit and ensure we have a much shorter window for sales than other clubs. It might not make a difference to the majority when tickets go on sale but logic would suggest the longer they are on sale the more time you have to shift extra tickets. Narrowing your window by several months won't help.

  11. Adam loves Mogga ...has total respect for him and I'd reckon he'll be at Rovers next season on a season long loan at the very least playing in an attacking and ambitious team unlike his spells at Barnsley and Bolton. Personally I don't think he's going to get his chance to lead the line in a toon top.Hed be better staying with Mowbray and proving all the doubters wrong . Get tired of hearing Newcastle fans saying ...he's found his level in league 1.Utter bollocks he's 21 years old. He's a natural born goalscorer!!
