  1. Sick of this stupid formation. Sick of hearing Mowbray has resolved our defensive frailties. Sick of players playing out of position. Sick of decent young players being left out of the squad for chronically underperforming favourites. Sick of people trying to justify wasting millions on 2 strikers who have scored about twice in the last 2 years between them while we haven’t spent a proper fee on a defender in nearly a decade. Sick of being told to be grateful Venky’s haven’t liquidated us. Disgusted at being told we are at our natural level, plodding around the middle of the second tier and getting beat off Luton at Ewood after all that Jack Walker did for us, and elements of our fan base trying to hold those who don’t share their rose tinted views accountable, rather than the real culprits.

  2. Never despised anyone in football as much as this guy, and never will. Vermin of the highest order.

  3. 7 years to the day since the imposter left, as we continue to endure his rotten legacy. Well done and thanks to the “1%” who never gave up fighting and maintained the conditions which ultimately forced him out. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/19736471 https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2012/sep/28/steve-kean-resign-blackburn-rovers We won’t be rid of his stench until we are back in the PL but having worried that he would never go, the relief on 29th September 2012 was palpable. Never forgive, never forget.

  4. Christ it's gonna be a wet one today but looking forward to it regardless. My Facebook timeline just reminded me its 7 years ago today that the repulsive cretin that is Steve Kean left us, I'll drink to that ???

  5. What?! Do you not remember them relegating us pretty much singlehandedly? They lost to crappy Bristol 4-0, and then put out such a woeful youth team that Arry's Brum beat them with 10 men. Sod them. I've been waiting for this revenge a good few years now. Can't wait to see them relegated to League 1, never to return. Yes, I'm still very bitter!!

  6. Mowbray is rubbish. Doesn't have the nous to take the club any further.

  8. Despicable, horrible man. He should never have been anywhere near our great club but the idiots gave him the keys to the castle and he revelled in the justified hatred towards him. Hopefully in the future we could celebrate a Venky's Out day too.

  9. Mowbray was mumbling on about " needing somebody to get to the byeline and pull the ball back for somebody running in " in his interview. No shit Sherlock but Gallager and Samuel won't do that. Chapman might though. We'd have been better off losing at Reading and winning today, at least the home fans will have gone home happy. I don't dislike Mowbray but being brutally honest he'll never get us promoted if he lives to be a 100. Look at the two teams, look how much we've spent on strikers. Player for player we are much better. No disrespect to Luton but they got battered last weekend, they got battered this Wednesday and we turn up like we just expected them to roll over and lie down..

  10. I’m sick of all this bollocks an all... “There’s huge frustration and huge disappointment in what is a really quiet dressing room," he revealed to iFollow Rovers. Surprise surprise, it’s a quiet dressing room. For all the talk of “character” we lack players with any bottle. They will be all day round feeling sorry for themselves - the same reaction is plain to see every time we concede. Bennett has done his usual disappointed tweet... that’s about as much of a reaction as we ever see, while we get an entire week spoiled. You and your beloved senior pros should be dishing out some bollockings. “It was a missed opportunity for us today. We wasted it and it feels bigger than just a wasted opportunity, it feels huge. Yep. And it’s an all too familiar feeling. “Against a side who are newly promoted to this league, no disrespect to them, but if we want to be up there towards the top of this league then we need to beat teams like Luton Town. No danger of you disrespecting them is there Tony? As always we worry far more about other teams than they do about us. Maybe Lenihan warmed you about his ex youth team mate and what a danger he would be having plied his trade at such dizzying heights with Stanley and Halifax... of course he was right as he absolutely bullied Lenihan for the winner. “We had enough of the ball, but we have to be better when breaking down these sort of teams and you cannot give away soft goals like we did today. These words appear in approximately 60% of all your post match interviews. “The combination of that was our undoing and it was similar to the opening day game against Charlton. That combination has been our undoing in most games in 2019 in fact. “We have been scoring goals and winning matches, but today was really frustrating. It was an opportunity to put a good performance in, win well, push up the table and look ahead to Tuesday night," he added. The sources and manner of the goals we have scored suggest more fortune than tactical nous to be honest Tony. They’ve papered over the cracks recently. “We needed to create more chances, get behind teams more, fizz balls across the box. We didn’t do that enough and didn’t have the guile. We havent “fizzed balls across the box” in years... apart from about 3 times last season where Brereton put shots out for throw-ins. “The individually of a Rothwell was probably needed for us today, that speed and craft, which was needed today.” You are just taking the piss now. I’ll humour you... but please answer me this: If Rothwell was too ill to play, and full of a cold, coughing and spluttering, then why on earth was he at Ewood in the pissing rain and freezing cold, potentially passing on his illness to his teammates rather than say at home with the heating on?

  11. Let's be honest the perceived new style he's introduced is just last seasons style slowed down a peg, 3 or 4 square passes instead of 2 or 3 and a punt. It's absolute pants we still only look decent when we either go for it and press from the front at a higher tempo or try and shut up shop and counter.

  12. Simple question. A few decent outings aside, does anyone disagree with any of these statements? 1. Graham is better than Gallagher 2. Strikers are best played up front. 3. Holtby and Rothwell are both better than Armstrong. 4. Nyambe is better than Bennett. 5. Dack's been indifferent all season.

  14. The bit I don’t get is why everyone is so upset that our billionaire owners are down £7 million. It’s their money, not ours. Danny Graham did the business last year and they’ve rustled up another £5 million to buy someone else. Brereton being here hasn’t hurt us in any way as far as I can see.

  16. Another poor result at home to very poor opposition. Luton were an embarrassment today. Time wasting from 18 minutes in. It was pathetic. I know people will say it’s game management but I pay to watch football and be entertained not watch a clock run down from the first whistle. we pass it round nicely and it all looks very good but whatever Tony’s plan is its completely ineffective when we get into the final third. We’ve defended well recently but if that reverts to type (as I fully expect it to) we are going to really struggle to pick up points. travis was immense today. Took his goal well, held the ball up well and his tackling and passing superb, almost a faultless performance. We have a real gem on our hands in him. His partner Johnson, was the worst player on the field and should have been subbed at half time with Gallagher not far behind. Gallagher, for all his hard work without the ball offered us absolutely nothing when we had it and graham looked a mile better when he came on. He also needs to stay onside because his timing of runs is very poor Whatever the tactics are we simply are not getting the best out of dack and it’s no coincidence since his form dropped off so did the goals and chances. When graham came on you could see the chemistry they have and until Tony finds an answer graham has to start imo. i thought lenihan and Williams distribution from the back was excellent, particularly lenihan and Bennett also had a very good game. armstrong was as ineffective as Tony’s half time team talk and Samuel offered absolutely nothing new to what we already had on. luton were a very poor side there for the taking. We have some good players but it just isn’t clicking or working and something radical needs to be done with the tactics, system, formation, line up because unless it changes it’s going to be one step forward and two back until something gives. really annoyed and frustrated with the whole game and to top it off rovers let me down for just short of five hundred quid on a coupon .

  17. Just listened to Mowbray's interview. Blah, Blah, Blah. Totally uninspiring. It sounded like he was was discussing how he'd lost a 50p down the back of the sofa. At least he realised that playing Gallagher and Armstrong was a mistake.

  18. Absolutely rubbish and the perfect summary of why we wont get near the play offs with continued crippling inconsistency and never being far from a shocking result against a crap team. Some will blame the ref I am sure for not handling the time wasting well but that was a self inflicted defeat, with the team looking clueless in terms of what they were supposed to be doing tactically and totally devoid of any urgency Gallagher again was shocking and offers zero goal threat. Armstrong continues to get away with lifeless performances as teachers pet guaranteed a start with his next goal contribution now due next spring. The 15m thrown down the toilet makes an absolute mockery of Mowbray. Armstrong 53, 6, Gallagher 9,0, Brereton 26, 1. 90 appearances, 7 goals is the combined Championship total (think ive worked that out right) and we are 15 millon down. Johnson gets worse with each passing week, Dack looked totally fed up, Walton was all over the place and the only 3 minor positives were Travis, Holtby and Graham.

  19. Ben Brereton is 20yrs Old (2-0) and has represented England at U19 and U20 level. He has also played in 79 Championship games. You’re writing him off. Let that sink in. Give your heads a wobble lads.

  20. Agree, still remember some pretty bitter words I had with HUdds fans after we were relegated and they were gloating like hell, pray we do the double over them and send them down. Got way above their stations

  21. 34 y/o Danny Graham is the best striker at the club, which is a damning indictment of Mowbray spunking over £10m on Brereton and Gallagher. Here's an idea: for the next game, how about we play Chapman and Rothwell on the wings instead of shoehorning f*ckk-knows-who out there.

  23. He does my head in when he chats utter shite like this and largely undoes a lot of the good work he does. Stop chatting utter drivel; we’ve just lost to one of the worst teams in the league at home FFS and had 2 shots on target all match.

  24. No two ways about this, whatever people try to make out - it’s an absolutely horrendous result. Horrible. Just when people start to get excited, as has been the case ever since these lunatics took us over. Embarrassing today and a fair few need a good look in the mirror, starting with our big summer signing.

  30. This sort of result was predicted by a few of the older sages who have seen this type of thing happen many many times. It almost mirrored the Charlton game for me when our play was slow and predictable with very little intensify. I honestly point the finger at the players for this. I really believe that the attitude, on the back of two decent results and a game against a poor team, was questionable from the majority of players. Our decision making was poor with far too many wrong choices by many. I was massively disappointed by our passing today with far too many of the wrong weight, balls passed behind players or just giving it away. Armstrong was poor today and I was amazed he didn't get the hook. Gallagher and Lenihan weren't far behind with Walton making the simple things difficult. I hadn't a clue what our shape was in the last fifteen minutes. Mowbray just seemed to throw players on within a plan or too much thought. It's back to basics for me on Tuesday with Graham up top and Dack in and around him. Holtby has to start and if he plays Downing and Armstrong at least have them on their correct wings.

  31. That 11 that started the game today should be streets ahead of Luton. Player for player we are. They need motivating though and obvously that isn't happening.

  32. Why have a winger play on the wing when you can put a striker there instead... right?

  33. Can’t get my head around Mowbray using Samuel of the bench as a right winger, surely chapman is a better option to change a game

  34. Think we will do well against Forest - a good performance and possibly a point. The problem is games like these. TM cannot get regular home wins Vs significantly weaker opposition. Right back to league 1 we've had this - Oldham and Plymouth (with their 4,th choice keeper) Millwall and Reading last season, Charlton & Luton this time. When the expectation is clearly on and the opposition weaker TM struggles. The lack of a regularly scoring forward doesn't help either. Many of their deficiencies are hidden in being wide midfielders in the 3, but even there questions have to be asked where are the regular goal scorers? All teams to be successful need someone who can nab a goal from nothing/the one chance they get, and with Graham relegated to the bench we don't look like having anyone who can do this. Also if the "3" don't produce a solid amount of goals then who else will. Oy Dack seems likely to get double figures. A striker up front with Rothwell Dack and Holtby behind would be a scary proposition for most teams, yet we play indifferent strikers out of position instead. Gally's work rate is an asset in games when we have to fight and scrap and have defensive duties to do, but against weaker opposition someone more creative and clinical is needed. Really gutted about today as all the cracks plastered by our good run were shown to still be very much there.

  35. If Rovers are losing/drawing when the board goes up you might aswell go home. We never threaten in injury time, March 2017 last time we scored an injury time equaliser/winner in the league.

  43. I think Holtby might well prove to be the difference between mid-table and play offs. If we can find a system that integrates Dack, Holtby and Travis then I feel really positive about the rest of the season.

  44. If FFP didn’t exist I’d by happy enough for the owners to throw 7 million on as many ‘projects’ as possible, if some flopped so be it. But surely in a FFP world and the parameters it sets on the club we don’t have that luxury and it isn’t just simply ‘the owners money’ anymore.
