  1. I’d be giving Bell a new contract but I’m one of the few that thinks he’s decent. Probably wouldn’t be my first choice but think he’s better than we would likely get as a back up option

  2. Probably panic buying hand cream as we speak.

  3. We don't know what the doctor said to Dack. All I know is he is working hard in gym and with Rovers staff. I would take up the Bell option for 12 months. He has improved since Christmas.

  5. I am with you to a degree Rev, I am considered high risk due to a dodgy ticker but I will go about my daily business, try to wash my hands not touch my face etc. The regular flu can likely kill me too.so am I supposed to lock myself away from the world. My wife works in am emergency room at the hospital and they are totally overrun due to this.. Anyone with a runny nose is in the ER wanting tested. Apparently that is a decision out of the hospitals hands. Drs have to report those displaying symptoms to the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) they review and make the call on whether they are to be tested. Wife reckons maybe 1 in 10 are actually tested with no positives as yet. I dunno but I refuse to.alter.my.life.for it, my personal hygiene habits yes but that's it.

  6. I agree, he has done well since Cunningham's injury. I think we need a better first choice, but we also need someone for competition and we won't find someone better. Bell already knows the club and how we play.

  7. Have to shift the likes of Bennett and Bell and not be weak and let them stick around as neither are good enough to play any part.

  8. A friend of mine has just messaged to say that this weekend is “what Bury fans feel like every week”. It’s so sad. I fear that some clubs will not pull through this crisis. Wayne Rooney in the Times today( never thought I’d write that) has suggested the Premier League donate £1million to every club in League One and Two.

  10. Were millions of our First World War fighting ancestors not killed by the related Spanish Flu that the world was unprepared for?

  11. Agree - dire , dire situation. i can see a scenario where games will start up and be completed in the month of June - 9 games in 4 weeks . That will deal with contracts up etc . Scrap the cups and euro comps and euros themselves and restart the season in Sept also without cups and head to euros in 2021. Quite how many EFL clubs will be left by then is anybody’s guess . terrible for the game itself as people will probably not attend in same numbers for summer football and many will be out of the habit by the start of the new season . ST sales could be calamitous for many clubs after all this . Maybe we should be thankful we’ve got loons in charge for whom the value of money seems not to matter . Now that’s a sentence I never thought I’d write!!

  12. If you’re high risk self isolate. Fine. If you want to build a hermetically sealed room in your basement with 20,000 toilet rolls and 10 tonnes of pasta. Fine. If you want to hibernate for 6 months until you feel it’s safe to come out. Fine. But I shall be going about my normal life with a slightly more vigilant effort in terms of hand hygiene, etc.

  13. Matt83, I assume you're not 83 year old called matt. Your 10 dead has doubled overnight to 21!! Spain has had a further 37 deaths in 24 hours. Italy has 17000 cases and 1268 deaths. We are all heading in the same direction. This is SARS not 'flu. Wake up and think of others, especially the many high risk out there.

  14. May i suggest self isolation. Stock up on booze and light snacks and just go for it. Keep in contact with your older parents but just chill and listen to music. Re stock early. 8am.

  17. Tugay may well be picked because he is a hugely likeable fan-favourite who interacted with supporters in the terraces but the more deserving Colin Hendry has a smudge next to his name. His swashbuckling, no fear style was partly responsible both for our resurgence to the top flight but also winning the title. It’s a great shame what happened in his personal life has possibly clouded what should have been a nailed on inductee. Also the scope needs to be widened to include King Kenny. He absolutely has to go in there. Bob Crompton was player, manager and chairman so there’s a case for it. Jack Walker surely has to be included as well but I’m not sure who would represent him at such an event. Lovely, and bittersweet, moment from last night was to learn from Val Clayton that Ronnie’s ashes are buried under the centre circle at Ewood Park.
