  1. Hi all, Two things, firstly thank you all so much for the good wishes, it genuinely gave me a huge lift when I heard about this thread. A quick update, I'm now home with the family and recovering. Both me and my wife (as I feared both working in the NHS) got Covid, it was awful for a week and both very poorly. I suddenly took a turn for the worse and was rushed into Hospital with a Temp of 41.2 and was admitted into intensive care. Covid, Pneumonia and Sepsis basically kicked the life out of me for several days and it was very much touch and go if I survived or not. I spent 5 days in intensive care in a pressurised oxygen CPAP hood (looked like a minion) and faced multiple organ failure. The Hospital had discussed ventilating me with my wife but luckily I started to respond to treatment. I spent a further 7 days on the Intensive care ward oxygen whilst my bloods where treated then 5 days on a general ward. I was discharged over 1.5 stone lighter (not a bad thing lol) Covids parting shot was leaving me with Type 1 Respiratory System Failure, which I should fully recover from in 6-8 weeks. Physically I feel quite well although very fatigued and get very breathless if walking about. My Oxygen levels are holding up well and my heart rate is lowering from dangerously high towards normal. Im improving day by day. ALL The staff at Royal Blackburn are immense & true heroes, I can never thank them enough or put into words how amazing they all are. They saved my life literally. I'm one of the lucky ones and I hope and pray for every one else struck with the virus.... Please all stay safe

  4. PK's description of his horrendous ordeal should be a salutary lesson to everybody to continue to play by the rules. Well done, I wish you all the best in your recovery.

  5. Well found Gav. If I remember correctly the original fixture was called off due to the weather conditions, only a couple of hours before kick off. We were in a transit, inching over Snake Pass in the snow. We later found Out that the game was off, diverted to Rotherham because they were at home, only to have a puncture, so we missed that game as well. One of them days ?

  7. Money as always will force the issue, sickening. It'll be a right cock up if it gets the go ahead. In other news nice to see the first thing clubs doing is cancelling agent payments. Tough for some of those lads it's their job but there will be plenty getting their comeuppance their land of milk and honey could come to a permanent halt. Not before time.

  8. Tugay according to motd, how he doesn’t make it into top 10 never to play for a top 6 club is beyond me

  10. Kept at bay by Mikloško,we'll let him off that after what he did against Man Utd 18 months later.I also forgot how slowly they took it letting Shearer get his starting place back in the team after his injury,6 games after his injury comeback and hes still on the bench.

  15. Not sure what would be more depressing. If we didn’t make the virtual play-offs - or if we did!

  17. That’ll teach me for posting late after a beer lol. I meant to say a win would take us to 6th if a draw was the result between Bristol and Preston. It’s an interesting end to the season as I could imagine that game being a draw so if we are within a couple of points of them both at that stage we would definitely still be in with a shout.

  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/coronavirus-chris-kamara-says-its-outrageous-that-footballers-are-asked-to-take-wage-cuts-11981797 I see Kammy hasn't been paying attention again. There's quite a few "outrageous" things going on in the World at the moment. Not sure I'd include Ozil and De Bruyne taking a 3 month pay cut as one of them.

  20. I think the main reason he got so much stick was because he wasn't Scott Sellars. One underrated player I'd include in any list is Paul Warhurst. A superb player, but so unlucky with injury. And Tony Gale. He only made a dozen or so appearances but he was wonderful for us when called on, always seems to get forgotten about when people talk about 94/95. Or maybe it's just me.

  21. Disgusted that Rovers have furloughed staff. All of Venkys cash and we as tax payers are paying instead of them.
