2011/12 Man Of The Match: Wigan Athletic v Rovers

    Wigan Athletic 3 Rovers 3

Another goalfest at the DW Stadium against fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic saw three goals each, a penalty and a red card ... oh, and that dodgy corner.

Yakubu continued his goalscoring with two more goals and crucially put the penalty away deep into injury time for Rovers to take a point from the match. His contribution meant he took 27.86% of the vote, but it wasn't enough to get him the BRFCS Man of the Match award.

Instead, the accolade went to Robbo, who, despite letting in two soft goals (arguably three), managed to get the Man of the match award for the first time this season with 32.14% of the vote, which no doubt was swayed by his willingness to stick his head where it hurts to win us the 96th-minute penalty.

See the details of the vote here.
