The young Everton striker who had worked his way through the Everton youth system came on trial in January 2013 and played in a behind closed doors friendly. He was subsequently signed and made his debut as a substitute in the sixth round FA Cup tie against Millwall. He was loaned out to Bury but a serious injury sustained towards the end of the season kept him out of the game for a long period. Even when he returned he could not keep free of injury and started only one Under 21 game in 2014/15.
