    Summary

Britt appeared to have the football world at his feet at the time that he scored four goals in the second leg of the FA Youth Cup Final to help West Ham overturn Wolves' pre-game lead. A regular youth international at a club where talent was always given a chance his failure to mature was surprising. Signed by the Rovers as a last gasp move to avoid relegation he was already suffering from an arthritic knee condition that resulted from a wrong diagnosis of a broken knee and this ended his career before he could play ten games for the club. He never opened his scoring account with the first team although he scored 10 in 9 games for the reserves. Returning to college he worked for the electricity board before setting up his own very successful textile company.
