    Summary

Cameron was born in Mossend , Strathclyde and became a steel worker. He came to play in the Football League with Glossop where he score 23 goals in 41 games. A move up to Bolton found him struggling and he spent six seasons at Ewood never quite cementing a regular spot. Nevertheless he was a fine athletic player as befits a keen cyclist, and he scored four goals in one game against Bolton on the opening day of the season in 1912. A war time guest at Hamilton he became manager of Bury, playing twice in emergencies, but was embroiled in a financial scandal that brought him a life ban. This was later rescinded and in 1930 he became manager of Rochdale. He later worked for De Haviland at Lostock.
