Brentford (h) - the Mowbray love in!
OJRovers replied to MCMC1875's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He doesn’t make chances for other people either, which is his job on the wing. -
Barnsley (h) - the Cauldron Of Hate part 2?

If we lost Dack we'd struggle, but at least we might see some strikers playing in the right positions, and GLADWIN could always step in to the No10 role -
Barnsley (h) - the Cauldron Of Hate part 2?

After reading the Mowbray quotes earlier this week, I think it will be a split camp before too long. There will be those that will be dragged into the video booth to analyse every pass they misplaced: Travis, Rothwell, Downing (?), Nyambe, Johnson. Get dropped for one poor game or not tracking a player back. The other camp will be free to carry on in the team regardless, no pressure whatsoever on their starting place: Bennett, Armstrong, Gallagher, Williams. -
Tactics, formation and team really is a complete lottery. There's not even any attempt to hide it any more.

January transfer window 2020
OJRovers replied to GunnerRover7's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
In a normal world, JRC and maybe even Butterworth would be worthy of a first team chance on form for the U23s. But we know Mowbray doesn't work like that. The frustration is that he's so inconsistent. Last season Brereton was so bad in every game he played (including U23s I seem to remember) yet he gets chances in the first team. Why Chapman isn't treated the same I don't know, because at least he's shown some promise in the appearances he made in League One. -
Nyambe thrown under the bus yet again despite being a young lad playing out of position. Pathetic and cowardly from Mowbray. Don't think i've ever heard him criticise Bennett, Armstrong, Gallagher, Williams in the numerous games they have been poor.

Leeds (A) - Same as last year lads... kind of.

Would love to see Butterworth get a run of 5 games in place of Armstrong, wouldn't be surprised if he was a big improvement. -
Ha spoke too soon!

In the LT, an insight in the overthinking from Mowbray that happens before every game. He's talking about number of passes Leeds make in the final third, and how we should pass first time to Armstrong/Gallagher etc. God forbid we play to our strengths and not just come up with a new game plan every week depending on who we're playing. -
Williams at LB according to Sharpe. Unbelievable if true.

£48 for JW plus £10 for parking plus £7.50 for a pie and pint. Over £65 for that product is insane pricing.
-
Team selection is basically a scan through who’s been on Dack’s Instagram for the week. Coincidence that you never see Rothwell or Nyambe on there?
-
Yes you don’t always know whether signings are leaders or not. But it’s not rocket science that a 21 year old inexperienced kid on loan isn’t exactly going to come in and be a leader. He’s basically making Tosin a scapegoat for the poor run whilst Lennihan is out injured. This lad wouldn’t still be a Man City player if he wasn’t better than Lennihan. And if he’s not better then why the hell did we splash £1m on him. Time to go Tony.

Championship season 2019-20
OJRovers replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Off the pitch incident aside, Keogh is exactly the type of no-nonsense defender we should have signed in summer. Is he available now? -
I can’t see Mowbray being sacked. I think he’d be safe even if we got relegated. Him and Waggot will continue to go over to India with their PowerPoint presentation and the owners will turn a blind eye.
-
I said it a few games back, there's no doubt we are in a relegation battle this season. A poor league one defence. Non scoring strikers and a manager tinkering with formation and tactics. All the ingredients are there. Mowbray needs to resign.
-
We've been absolute bottle jobs under Mowbray since day one. Leaders needed in summer but we've failed to sign any. Mowbray himself said we needed to sign guys who were 25-28 yet in the starting team today the new signings were youngsters in Tosin and Gallagher. Mowbray needs to admit failure and walk.

Just the 1 shot on target today (again) per the BBC
-
League One standard defence.
-
Some of us are old enough to remember being 2-0 up and cruising at Brentford. Long way to go yet.
-
Well at least it will have baffled their scouting team.
-
If Bennett has been picked at CM ahead of Travis and/or Downing I give up, I really do.
-
Yet we spent £1m on a novice from City who isn’t even our player
-
Against a local rival, with 4,000+ making the effort to go, it is an unacceptable attitude to have, especially given the amount of money spent by Mowbray over the last 2 seasons.

Preston to win odds of evens at the bookies - as close to a license to print money as I’ve seen for a long time.
