  1. Forfeit the game? One of our most important fixtures of the season and you talk as if we shouldn’t bother turning up. Pathetic!
  2. Let’s hope the players and management don’t read this forum. We can’t go into any game between now and the end of the season thinking it’s lost before kick off. With more players hopefully back from injury, the squad is getting back to full strength.
  3. Wonderful late 60’s memories (even if I did flunk my O levels)
  4. The performance against Plymouth was poor but how much was it because we were set up badly or because Plymouth were outstanding on the day? But we do have to give some credit to the players (and manager) that we didn’t lose. Whether we would have won the game had we finished with 11 players, who knows?
  5. No amount of ifs and buts will change the position we are in. We aren’t likely to change the current manager so we go into the last 9 games hoping we can turn some of our draws into wins. Despite the apparent difficult fixtures remaining there will be pressure on teams at both ends of the table resulting in some surprises. We do need our injured players back though.
  6. Going back to the game, and I know we conceded, but we actually looked better playing with 10
  7. Do we know how close JRC is to coming back from injury and Carter for that matter?
  8. Who cares what players do in their spare time! its what they do on the pitch that matters.
  9. We have to remember that we have a number of players still injured and some of the replacements just aren’t yet good enough for this level of football. Particularly disappointing performances from both Dolan and Gallagher who just don’t seem to be able to perform on a consistent basis. Dolan scores 2 against Stoke and nothing since. Gallagher against Preston but again nothing since. Maybe they aren’t getting the service but as regular strikers we should expect a better return. We desperately need Hedges, Tronstad and JRC (and Carter) back fully fit. Hopefully Brittain’s injury is not too bad.
  10. Speculation or fact? It would be good if someone at the club could come out and explain WTF has happened over the past 2 months.
  11. I think both JDT and JE seem to have been victims of the dreaded injury jinx. Yes, we know all teams get injuries but ours seem to have had quite an impact. The midfield against Stoke had JRC, Tronstadt and Hedges. All missing at Swansea. JDT also had to cope with injuries to several key players, Carter amongst them. If we can get to the international break without any disasters then we could be in a better position albeit with a tough run in
  12. Disappointing result but not unexpected given our recent league form. Looking back at what ifs is not much comfort now so we have to stick behind the manager and the team. The effort is there and we just need a bit more nous in front of goal. Getting Hedges and JRC back will be key as they are the more mature members of the squad and can support the younger players. The likes of Moran, Ayari and Markandy, whilst skilful, shouldn’t be asked to shoulder the burden of a relegation battle. Whoever agreed to Travis leaving should be shot! The Newcastle game showed that we can perform when required and that the fans will get behind the team. We need this in the last few home games!
  13. If we don’t play our strongest side (or as near as) then we will get battered. Newcastle have very little left to play for and will want to win this one. Get into ‘em
  14. Unfortunately pretty possession football with the players at JDT’s disposal was only heading one way - down! Yes the current approach is less exciting but necessary. I hope you are not falling out of love with Rovers now that JDT has gone. Stick with us, we need all the fans we can get.
  15. And I’m sure he doesn’t have to prove himself. Despite what many think he is a good player and for some reason JDT couldn’t see that
  16. And he’s playing well. Seems to have a bit more space in the Premier.
  17. Tony Mowbray just announced he is stepping down temporarily from his duties due to a medical issue https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tony-mowbray-birmingham-city-manager-28659515 Get well soon Tony
  18. Get Buckley back in the team if he is fit. i know he’s not a replacement for Adam but he can do a much better job than any others we have available. I like Garratt but he isn’t in the same class as Buckley. We should not have let Travis go either.
  19. I know things are tough for us fans at the moment but is that really necessary?
  20. Really? There’s obviously a risk of Wrexham fans getting into the home areas. Wasn’t it only a few weeks ago that some were complaining about Leeds fans buying home tickets? There’s no real barrier to anyone who wants to attend this match. Tickets are affordable, plentiful and available online, by phone and in person. Yes we may lose a handful of last minute walk on fans but they at least know the score if they want to do that. As if the club deliberately want to stop Rovers fans buying tickets! Don’t make me laugh.
  21. Town have signed this guy. At 6’3” he’ll probably be another formidable defender for us to get past. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68024523
  22. Ennis will most likely do a George Hirst and start scoring for fun as soon as he leaves Rovers
  23. Lightweight footballers sums it up perfectly. Kids learning the game against seasoned pros. Sigurdsson too easily knocked off the ball and frightened to get stuck in. Like him or not, we need a Travis type to give it out a bit. Oh wait! We had one but lent him out.
