  1. loan in, or loan with outgoing player?? - sorry just seen someone else ask exactly that.......Doh
  2. local to me these days - many of my lads football mates are Gas-heads, the name stems from their old stadium at Eastville [now a Tesco!!] being next to several massive gas holders [called Gasometers when I was a kid], and prone to the occasional emission in the vicinity of the ground. Therefore as far as Ive been told, they're 'the Gas' because the general vicinity of that part of the city smelt of gas. Maybe the marketing folk at their club now think pirates is a better monicker as pirates smell better..........
  3. They’ll probably fill it out wrong or send it to Ricky Tomlinson……..
  4. Anyone up for contacting Andy Cole for a statement on what he thinks of Waggott and his influence on the decline of the club?? [ I'll be the first to admit that I wouldnt know where to start.......]
  5. in a nutshell...... Rovers were always [even under Bill Fox when cash was tight and a £35k signing was a stretch] well-regarded nay admired, as a well run club punching above its weight - Since Venkys came, John Williams left, and a series of dubious advisors/agents and their stooges got the keys to the safe, it's rapidly becoming a laughing stock. Lewis O'Brien's and then McGuire's examples will go a long way to ruining any lingering reputation as Rovers being a club to do business with, or even take seriously regarding player transfers, or being a club that any ambitious player would want to join. A cynic might take a view that Waggot is probably only in the chair because Venus, [aided and abetted by Mowbray] alluded to a cut of a development land sell-off, and the chance to get the Cov gang back together......to say his performance in the role is lamentable understates it. It simply can't continue like this, sadly it looks at this stage very much like only HMRC or the Indian Courts can put us out of our misery
  6. Wouldn't it have been priceless if Adam W had seen from last night's fiasco that Venkys had no intention of using the proceeds of his sale to strengthen the team his big brother will still play for, and simply turned round and said "if I'm being sold just to pay off the Venkys, the deal's off...." [and yes I do know that it's professional sport, chance of premier league etc, but sometimes looking out for the family counts.......]
  7. Will McGuire the Yank need international clearance ?? How long will that take if the ‘back room staff’ are doing the paperwork??
  8. Speaking of Raya........anyone know what's happening with his loan to Arsenal being made permanent? - thought that was supposed to bring in some sell-on clause cash to underwrite some transfer activity.........[or pay off the Indian tax-man obvs]
  9. That'll be a nightmare for the shirt printer---- we'll just call him Jazzy for short
  10. might depend on the Raya to Arsenal deal coming permanent and the sell-on money.....Ramsdale getting a run-out and flapping about like a drowning puppy might make this more likely
  11. Kevin Moran........Nicky Marker......Mark Hughes.....
  12. hypothetical maybe considering finances, but if he was willing, [presumably Villareal would be] - would we take him back on loan in January??
  13. Apologies if mentioned somewhere else, but any indication that an appeal has actually been submitted ?? assuming the CEO / DoF can decide who's job it might be to fill the EFL forms in [ they've got previous for not being able to do that properly, will probably end up appealing a red card for Adam Wharton]
