  1. A proper forward thinking manager would have incorporated Rothwell into this team by now, no ifs or buts.

And Graham should be first choice striker for the foreseeable. The pivot around where Rothwell/Dack/Holtby can excel. At the very least it's who our best player plays his best football and is most effective playing alongside!

    "David has found form recently"

Eh? Cost us against Brum, Bristol and against Brentford! What's he been watching?

Makes me worry he won't be looking for anew keeper. If that isn't evidence enough then I fear what it will take to make him realise. He's liability at the moment. Hate to say it because I like the lad and would like to see him succeed here but he needs to learn and work with a better, more experienced keeper here.

Perhaps also an experienced coach that has played the game professionally too.

Travis is a big part of our latest purple patch. Just love the way his first thought is to get the ball forward. That run into their box past three of their players is something you'll never see a Smallwood or Evans do.

Yes and Travis' energy and box to box play leaves Evans to economise his own stamina, sitting deeper and picking off attacks.

  4. Crikey, never thought I would see the day when that industry pawn's name was brought up on here. The elites truly do have their tentacles  everywhere! You've outdone yourself Big Dogg!

Social media is here to divide society by bringing the people's debased negative and destructive impulses out behind the safety of a keyboard, amongst other things. It succeeds in taking a huge amount of time, energy and attention from people, contributing to a toxic social climate. It's a key tool used in programming people to be at each others throats and hate each other. Tin foil hat off

With regards to Brereton, I concur with the majority in saying he needs a loan to League One or a spell in the U23's. I'm not optimistic he's going to be an effective player for us though, as like many others, I've not seen one significant attribute from the fellow yet.

  5. I think that ultimately it can only be a good thing to see the senior pros committing to new contracts and wanting to play here. Every club needs a good mix 'young and old' so to speak.

Besides from the manager and coaching staff, they also carry the message to new arrivals and young players on how they play and conduct themselves at the club. A dressing room without enough of them can easily go sideways fast.

Eh? Fury embarrassed him. Wilder cannot box, he literally relies on smacking the other guy square in the face, and doesn't possess an ounce of boxing guile.

I think everyone had Fury with a lead of a country mile, even with knockdowns taken into account.

I'm not surprised by the decision, but it's a disgrace. How the promoters get to book the judges and not the official boxing commitee is beyond me, and makes a farce of the sport.

Ya, I don't think their interest, if any, is enough that it will actually lead to a bid.

I would be far more worried about a team near the relegation places in the Premier league bidding for him come January

No neither do I, his agent may as well link him to Barcelona next time to boost his client's confidence!

Second part I agree for sure.

I would imagine reading you are being linked to a team who have made the Champions league fairly regularly in recent years is good for your confidence. I don't think it has to be true.

As someone posted the other day, Spurs have Eriksen, Ali, Son , Lamela and Lucas Moura who can all play where Dack plays.  I can't see them forking out £20 million plus for him.

Ok, it's just in the next breath you said it will give him confidence that a big club are interested in him, but then go on to say they aren't.

Papers link good players to teams, that's how it is and always will be. They were linking him with Cardiff last season. The Spurs link is a good one I feel. Firstly I don't believe it, secondly it will encourage him and give him confidence that a big club are interested in him. Lastly, it will inflate his value for when/if we do sell him.

So you don't believe it but Bradley does believe it?

A player being potentially recalled by his parent club isn't the same though is it.

If a player is performing well anywhere, across the whole spectrum, they will be linked with moves away and I don't think Dack is any exception really.

    I think the exact same.

I honestly think Mcgregor has got to Khabib mentally. He did not look healthy last night. I know the weight cuts are crazy, but only one of the 2 looked in good shape to me

Conor has looked in great shape this week and Khabib has a history of struggling with weight cuts too. I tend to agree with McGregor getting to him mentally because he left at the earliest conceivable opportunity last night, it was a shame they didn't share the stage though.

For me also Khabib doesn't set up his takedowns using clever footwork and striking, but a combination of a fundamental set up and then wading in and grabbing hold of something. It helps when his opponents aren't on their full striking game because they are wary of his stellar grappling game. I feel he will need to be a lot cuter than that against McGregor whose judgment of distance, timing and coupled with his accuracy are as good as anybody in mixed martial arts. That being said I still think he will take him down at some point in the bout.

But this is combat sports, anything is possible! I could be talking out of my arse!

I agree that we missed Nyambe last night. Not just defensively, but his willingness to get forward and give us width on the right is crucial to the way we play too.

Bennett, for a supposedly attacking player, was incredibly negative from rb last night. Very rarely looked to play forwards, unwilling to overlap and I can’t remember him trying to go past a man. It all meant that we had no attacking threat on that side of the pitch, especially in the first half. In fact the only positive moment came when Reed and Bennett briefly switched positions and Reed picked out a great through ball inside the fullback for Bennett to run onto. I wonder if it might have been an idea to start those two the other way around down the right.

For what it's worth I felt Bennett didn't look fully fit last night, he certainly looked to be moving awkwardly at the beginning of each half anyway.

A number on here said it. I read one comment saying MCarthy and Bruce are available.

I agree most are, rightly, cometely behind Mowbray

    A number? You mean one?

Well beaten in every aspect of the game last night. Thought Fleck and Duffy ran the game for them, in particular Fleck.

I struggle to see what Bell brings to the team. Poor positionally, in the air, with the ball at his feet and never commits to anything. He jockeys a man but never close enough to prevent a cross or put a tackle in, in fact I'm convinced the lad doesn't like tackling full stop.

I can only assume he's been instructed not to overlap the wingers and you could probably count on one hand the number of times he's done it this season. He came in as an attacking full back and bar his debut, he certainly hasn't been one. He got to the byline a few times once he played wing back last night, which to me lends credence that he's being told not to overlap.

Rothwell must start against Bolton for Smallwood, drop Reed into centre mid.
