  1. Depends what form the protests take. A small, organised group of fans can achieve quite a lot
  2. Nothing to do with tax law changes. The hearing is necessary because Venky's are being investigated for false declarations and tax dodging
  3. I think you are arguing just for the sake of it. Do you really believe swapping Travis for this youngster is a good move?
  4. All clubs need 3rd / 4th choice players for obvious reasons. Our 5th / 6th choices are not good enough for the championship. From a footballing perspective, we cannot afford to lose Travis from the squad. He should be told to fight for his place. He will probably be 3rd/4th choice at Ipswich too but they obviously see the benefits of experienced squad players
  5. Have you ever considered writing a dystopian novel ? BRFC is a distant memory after withering away due to lack of attention - but Civil war still rages between Venkyites and Protesters
  6. Over-ruled, the evidence of the past 13 years proves this statement to be incorrect. Please strike from the record.
  7. Totally agree. Compare Leo with Rotherham's keeper today. He is also Swedish with 1 International appearance. He was excellent and cost them nothing.
  8. And what makes you think there would be no one willing to take on the honour of owning a world famous football club ? Broughton has been here 2 years Venky's have been here 13 years. It's easy to blame them because they, and nobody else,,are to blame
  9. Hopefully very few, if any. The club is probably running with a minimal number of staff as it is. They will still needed post admin. Suhail would go - that would save a big wage allow retention of necessary staff. Waggott could be replaced with a more effective but less expensive CEO.
  10. This is the model used by league 2 clubs out of necessity. I can't bring myself to discuss results, tactics, players, managers, squad size, squad experience etc. as it is essentially pointless. The current dire situation on all fronts are symptoms of a single problem. A very simple root cause analysis points to Venky's in every single case. The long term future of the club is grim unless there is a change at the top. Protest and survive
  11. Did someone mention an organised 'Venky's out day' ? Count me in
  12. 'Lack of ambition' is Rovers in a nutshell. The CEO preaches it. Only one answer and we all know what that is. New owners
  13. I know what you say is correct, they have a finite number of shirts to sell, but this makes no business sense - please don't buy our stock because we will run out! They should follow the laws of supply and demand like all other businesses - sell as much as possible as quickly as possible and then re-stock. If the manufacturers can't provide this flexibility then change manufacturers.
  14. Jordan Rhodes - Only half joking. Short term, free transfer. 9 goals in 10 matches for Blackpool. He would have buried many of the sitters we have missed this season.
  15. None of them a vast improvement on the players who were available last night. We have a squad full of mediocre players
  16. I was very disappointed with our approach to the game last night. I always think we should play our strongest team in the latter stages of a cup no matter who the opposition is . Markanday, for example, was never going to have an impact against Chelsea and it gives the impression from the off that we are not too serious about trying to win the game. Our only chance against a team so much better and bigger than us is to get stuck in, get them rattled and hope they get riled and make mistakes. I thought Travis and Garrett may have been picked to do this but they hardly put a tackle in. We were never going to outplay them but we insisted in trying to play out of defence and it never transitioned into a serious acting threat and eventually gifted them a goal. We need to be much more direct sometimes as with Leonard 's chance and the goal at Millwall. Not disgraced at all last night but I don't think we ever had enough belief in ourselves and I think the manager needs to work on that.
  17. I hate Venky's and hope they get their comeuppance. Happy for the relevant authorities to know that
  18. Venky's have been bad for the club since they showed up. There is no real positive outcome either way. If they leave they may well keep the training ground for a future sale which would be a massive blow. If they stay longer we will suffer a continued, lingering decline and eventually see them disappear - probably along with the training ground. Best all round if they go now and we start the recovery from whatever situation they leave us in.
  19. I thought Coventry were awful but unfortunately, we have the uncanny ability to play slightly worse than the opposition no matter how good or bad they are. Very little quality in our team. No conviction in anything we do. No leaders. Look at the last 10 minutes after we went behind - we hardly got the ball in the box and continued to tip tap the ball around in areas of the pitch that caused the opposition no problems at all. No goal threat and a shaky defence. All the traits of relegation candidates. We have played some entertaining football at time this season but there is nowhere near enough desire to win. No belief either.
  20. I agree, with a decent striker results could have been so much different - which begs the question, why play this way without a decent striker - it's not going to work. Same last season when we constantly tried to walk the ball out of defence when we didn't have defenders who were capable of doing it. In both cases we are not playing to our strengths - the opposite in fact.
  21. If they took an interest and ran the club properly they could increase revenue and reduce the £20 million required. They just can't be arsed
  22. I watched it and I thought Leicester always had another gear if necessary. We flattered to deceive and looked likely to concede every time they attacked.
  23. Seriously ? That game was an absolute stroll for Leicester. Despite having some technically gifted players we are a very poor team and so easy to play against. Way too passive in every respect. I didn't see any positives today.
  24. I have heard that all corporate tickets tonight are being accommodated in the BBE Red Rose Suite and JW corporate areas are closed. Presumably Waggott will be hiding away in BBE as far as possible from irate fans in JW.
