  1. Early December, I targeted the Millwall home game and communicated that if correctly priced, "Fill Ewood" and we'd sell the fuck out of it. Nowt to do with me, it DID NOT happen and I'm mad as a wasp as a consequence! (hey ho, Rome ain't built in a day!)
  2. However, on 2nd January had we publicised Millwall at home 19th February £15 Adults, £5 kids BE, JW Lower and DE...what then as a hypothetical (but important) question?.....
  3. Yeh but come on.....£25 for 2 home games when we're sat third in the league? It's hardly a "bundle" is it?
  4. If only tickets had been on sale earlier at £12.50 for 2 key games at the business end of the season, eh? You never know, even folk from Sussex may have been tempted to attend a home game at a critical part of the season. It is what it is and if true, Rovers 'fans' need to pull their fingers out, stop whinging and attend a home game when it really matters and when cost IS NOT an excuse.
  5. Thought you were 'pc' 😘?....can't possibly say stuff like soft!😂
  6. In honesty, old memories die hard! The New Den is no match for the old Den, either in structure/stature or its' regular inhabitants! Those that have been to both over the years will know exactly what I mean! With regards to the topic in hand: neither Millwall nor QPR travel away from home in any numbers normally.
  7. Must win game....no draws, no excuses! Latest update is that tickets are going extremely well and Hospitality is all but totally sold out. COYB and bring on The Blades!
  8. What, all 50 of them? Bloody Hell Duncan, 'Harry the Dog' (RIP) has long since departed!
  9. You're right with an incident similar to the one you describe, i.e. throwing missiles and the like, I totally agree with you. I was just meaning the general comment re the OP of "ban the scum". As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I've had a word on the quiet, in a jovial sort of way, with a few groups of young lads at away games this season and it's always been accepted, well received and better behaviour ensued. What more can I say? We need more young supporters and if controlling them and educating them better is required, then BRFC, Police and fellow fans need to step up to the plate. Again IMO.
  10. I don't necessarily disagree Matty but I've done it several times at away games this season and never had a problem....quite the contrary in fact. I agree though, it's how one approaches it and how it's said....not for everyone accepted.
  11. At The Hawthorns on Monday night, it was like a Teddy Bears Picnic for teenagers amongst our away following but whilst raucous and having a good time, they were generally well behaved. Probably a night out over half term. Whilst I do not condone in any way the throwing of missiles on to the pitch or any form of pyrotechnics in the ground, I feel that some sense of perspective is required. We as a club are crying out for increased support and it has to generally come from youngsters. It is a society issue IMO, the 'millennials' but rather than us older generation moan and groan and seek to "ban the scum", why not be adult and have a quiet word and say "come on lads, out of order" and have a bit of craic with them? We were all young once and by no means 'angels' back in the day and to re-iterate, it annoys the hell out of me too but perhaps we as 50,60 and 70 year old supporters that have all 'been around the block' a few times have a bit of a duty too. Just my opinion.
  12. We're 'messing' with one another 47er, as you know full well. Wherever Duggie was born, Blackburn or Darwen, I dunno....but he was always a 'darrener', his lads are darreners, he's always lived in Darwen and his latest girlfriend is also a darrener! Irrespective, Brian is an absolute local legend and to be cherished in every respect.
  13. ..piffel Andy but yep, splitting hairs, I concede!😘😂 Does transferring from QPH day after birth to Bull Hill qualify for entry on the passport? What about all the youngsters forced to be born in Burnley these days?....My lad insisted that our Granddaughter's birth certificate stated Lancashire and not the town!
  14. Pilky is a Darwen lad thank you very much! 😘, as is Brian Douglas, Ron and Ken Clayton were both born in Preston but were always Blackburnians from a young age. , Mark Patterson is another 'Darrener'.
  15. He's our 6'4" Harvey Elliott in terms of old head on young shoulders aside footballing ability.....bloody good 'un with the head to match which is all important.
  16. £25 for 2 forthcoming games, a great offer IMO......Negative is, there should have been the foresight for these 2 fixtures, 2 months ago in an 'Operation to fill Ewood' which was mentioned and discussed within the corridors but c'est la vie! Why just The Darwen End, Fuck only knows!? Please everyone, do your utmost and make the most of this offer if you don't already have tickets. It really could be key!! Please, please get behind our young and up and coming team, particularly in the remaining home fixtures, I KNOW that your support means so much to them! Best, in hope, 'darrenrover'. WATR!!!
  17. Let's hope Boreham Wood isn't Bournemouth's Fulham moment as per us!
  18. Bit of a strange one re tickets that I discovered today, re tickets for WBA: If you buy an OAP ticket at OAP concessionary price and you, as a regular adult, are accompanying the OAP....the price of the ticket for the accompanying adult is only a tenner if bought as a pair! A Valentines Day Bonus....my Missus wasn't impressed because as a couple we'd qualify! (Bugger off and go with your mates as normal...well I tried!)
  19. .....By Sir Alex, the font of all knowledge! Ash Philips will be one hell of a player at the highest level: as well as being an extremely talented footballer, he's also got size, speed and plenty between his ears!
  20. I believe he's recently signed a 4 year contract.
  21. He did us all like a kipper Gav during that era, but we all know better now! ('eleven o'clockers'.? aye ok!!!?)
  22. .....but Nixon is still trying to 'mix a bottle' regarding Rovers. The only reason is for his own personal gain (IMO) and perhaps for any stench that may (but hopefully not) remain within the corridors of Ewood and/or Brockhall.) Vehemently, we need to take whatever he spouts, with absolute contempt.......'They' need to move on, if 'they' haven't already done so!
