  1. Exactly what I thought. Thanks for clarifying.
  2. That’s correct. Is it a hearing about the funds as I think, or about the investigation into VH?
  3. Me neither, but it seems to have stopped the hearing about the release of funds, whatever it was.
  4. I stand to be corrected if that's the case, but from what I understood, the owners have to go to court every 3 months to get permission to send funds over to the club. The last one was done in November, just before my meeting with Steve Waggott, who was at pains to tell me that he had to provide a full breakdown of exactly what the funds were being used for. He also went on to tell me that the funds would be sufficient to keep everything paid until February, by which time another hearing would have taken place and he was expecting the green light would be given for more funds to be released. This hearing was adjourned though and therefore no funding has been sent in February. Perhaps others can confirm if this is correct or not, but that is my understanding of it.
  5. One thing I will add to my suggestion that the court will not give permission to release the funds. If Waggott or the owners were sure they would, why when we have just broken our outgoing transfer record, are there no funds available? I suspect that Waggott already either knows, or strongly suspects that there are no funds coming.
  6. Exactly so how does that leave the club if they rule that no funds are to be released until it reaches a conclusion.
  7. I have serious reservations about the funds being released in March. When I had my meeting with Waggott in November, he was cock sure that a precedent had been set and for that reason, was almost guaranteeing the funds will be in the bank in February. Well they aren't and although the adjournment may well be due to court pressures, I have this sneaky feeling that the ED investigations, are more serious than some people are making out. Before the season started, it seems to have been dressed up as Indian tax changes, but not that looks like a cover up, as admitting there were being investigated would not have come out, had it not been spotted by an eagle eyed fan.
  8. The JDT V Mowbray argument is all well and good, but Mowbray and Waggott are mates. To a degree he got his own way, because of it. JDT has called Waggott out and got nothing this year, other than a huge funding cut and failure yet again in 2 transfer windows. He won’t be here for us to see if the press the button gate costs us relegation, but O’Brien gate almost certainly did cost us a play off place and who knows beyond that. I don’t remember Mowbray being let down anywhere near as much. He has his faults, but I truly believe we have let a gem slip though our fingers with JDT and will live to regret it.
  9. The bit at the end is obviously about JDT going. He was not in the meeting and as the LT have already said, they don’t expect him to be the manager for the next match. Josh has kept schtum as requested, but was good enough to mention a bit was kept secret. Im as sure as I can be that’s correct.
  10. I think Duncan went and will no doubt post too.
  11. I don't know if they can, but I call upon the trust to issue a vote of no confidence in the board of that is possible. We at at the trust have read the clubs statement regarding the Duncan McGuire and call a vote of no confidence in the board of Blackburn Rovers football and Athletic club and demand that they resign with immediate effect. After the fiasco of last years January transfer window, which in all likelihood cost the club a place in the play offs and a possible return to the premier league, we are now faced with a very similar situation, which we currently fear, may lead to relegation. Assurances were given last year that procedures had been out in place to ensure this did not happen again, but here we are 12 months on, faced with exactly the same situation and a player unable to play for the club, due to staff incompetence. As fans we deserve a full and proper explanation and not a simple statement ending the club will not comment any further and therefore recommend a full refund of all season tickets bought, as the season ticker holders have not only been let down again, but also badly short changed. In addition to that we hereby recommend to our membership and wider supporter base, that no season tickets are purchased for the 2024/25 season, until a fan elected representative is appointed to the board to ensure the club is returned to a proper structure and some integrity is offered to the fans.
  12. Correct and already in trouble for not filing their accounts in time. 13. One other important factor here too, Steve and Tony are pals.
  14. Rest assured, if it was good news, we would have known. The might try to bury it, under some other news, such as Greg has walked or Steve has been recruited by Tesco Burnley branch.
  15. There is a fair chance he will point out that he thought we were signing Madonna, who is till very much alive and could provide the half time entertainment. Speaking of which, whose was at fault for the failed Elton John concert? Did we make a mess of that paperwork too?
  16. Funny how there were no issues sorting the sale of Wharton out. We could have done with his transfer away being messed then we could have kept him for the remainder of the season at least. The conspiracy theory may just be that, just like an error on the funds they sent, which we supposed to be for the club, but were accidentally used to buy a house and fund a pop star.
  17. I firmly believe that the next court hearing on 12/03/24 will be pivotal. In the event of funds not being released at that point, I have a feeling that the accountants will have a severe problem signing the accounts off. As we have seen with the last few years accounts, the business is trading in an insolvent manner without the owners pumping the funds in and a statement to that effect is made each years. Perhaps asking the accountants as a concerned fan and wording it in a general way to avoid any date protection breaches, would be an idea. Have this information to hand in advance of the court hearing then they can't come out and say we can manage without the funding, if the court do refuse it.
  18. Absolutely heartfelt and spot on. Like many on here, the only constant in our lives are our football club. Friends enter our lives and we lose touch. Family come and go from our lives too in a way and sadly we lose people close to us, as they pass away. We have relationships and even marriages and they don't always last. Once you become a Rovers fan though, that it for life. We can't move onto another club, like we can with a job, a relationship a marriage even, or new friends in and around us. If you ever go to a neutral game, or even watch one on the TV there is never the same enthusiasm as there is watching your own team and the thrill we all get when we rack up at somewhere like Stoke, at the end of last year and come away with a 0-3 win, is one of the best feelings in our lives. Sadly, these are few and far between currently and it is extremely difficult to watch not only the struggles on the pitch, but the pure incompetence and neglect that is going on behind the scenes and has been now for 13 years. Although I understand people turning away from it in despair, if anyone asks who your club is, it will always be Blackburn Rovers and even when not attending, the result of the Rovers match is still important and still affects our moods for the weekend. It is impossible to switch it off, even if we try to. The current lot will eventually be gone and fortunately we do still have groups such as the Trust and others, who although some of it may not be visible, the groups are trying to ensure that the people responsible for the current state of affairs are removed. They will eventually be gone and we can all stand up and be proud again, as without the people now fighting against this regime and making them accountable, they will not last forever. we will eventually win the fight and the club we will be there for our future generations to enjoy once again.
  19. They have probably tried a few times, but got the paperwork wrong. They have asked permission to approach Ewood Day nursery to see if any of their under fives are free to help with it tomorrow.
  20. The manager mentioned in his radio Lancs interview at least twice that a hand grenade had been thrown in to destroy his work. He was gagged on Friday simply because he was highly likely to call someone out for the same incompetence as last year, when it comes to getting a transfer over the line. This year the player was announced as being signed and in reality he hasn’t been. What he excuse will we have this time and who will be the fall guy. Last year it was Greg, so if it’s him again (and I’m not convinced it really was last year) do we just shrug our shoulders and just carry on regardless? Last years error cost us a play off place, this year’s could be the difference between us staying up and being relegated. A balls up like that once is unforgivable, but twice should mean it is the end for those responsible, sadly it won’t be and it will be business as usual by the end of next week.
  21. No, he is on a bench in his kitchen in the USA. Some slight issue with the signing again, but Greg will admit responsibility in a couple of weeks.
  22. If we knew for definite he was going then maybe let rip at the final whistle, but at the minute, although it looks likely, we don’t know. Maybe a few chants of we love you Jon Dahl we do during the match and Waggott out, may help.
