  1. I don't know if they can, but I call upon the trust to issue a vote of no confidence in the board of that is possible. We at at the trust have read the clubs statement regarding the Duncan McGuire and call a vote of no confidence in the board of Blackburn Rovers football and Athletic club and demand that they resign with immediate effect. After the fiasco of last years January transfer window, which in all likelihood cost the club a place in the play offs and a possible return to the premier league, we are now faced with a very similar situation, which we currently fear, may lead to relegation. Assurances were given last year that procedures had been out in place to ensure this did not happen again, but here we are 12 months on, faced with exactly the same situation and a player unable to play for the club, due to staff incompetence. As fans we deserve a full and proper explanation and not a simple statement ending the club will not comment any further and therefore recommend a full refund of all season tickets bought, as the season ticker holders have not only been let down again, but also badly short changed. In addition to that we hereby recommend to our membership and wider supporter base, that no season tickets are purchased for the 2024/25 season, until a fan elected representative is appointed to the board to ensure the club is returned to a proper structure and some integrity is offered to the fans.

  3. One other important factor here too, Steve and Tony are pals.
  4. Rest assured, if it was good news, we would have known. The might try to bury it, under some other news, such as Greg has walked or Steve has been recruited by Tesco Burnley branch.
  5. There is a fair chance he will point out that he thought we were signing Madonna, who is till very much alive and could provide the half time entertainment. Speaking of which, whose was at fault for the failed Elton John concert? Did we make a mess of that paperwork too?
  6. Funny how there were no issues sorting the sale of Wharton out. We could have done with his transfer away being messed then we could have kept him for the remainder of the season at least. The conspiracy theory may just be that, just like an error on the funds they sent, which we supposed to be for the club, but were accidentally used to buy a house and fund a pop star.
  7. I firmly believe that the next court hearing on 12/03/24 will be pivotal. In the event of funds not being released at that point, I have a feeling that the accountants will have a severe problem signing the accounts off. As we have seen with the last few years accounts, the business is trading in an insolvent manner without the owners pumping the funds in and a statement to that effect is made each years. Perhaps asking the accountants as a concerned fan and wording it in a general way to avoid any date protection breaches, would be an idea. Have this information to hand in advance of the court hearing then they can't come out and say we can manage without the funding, if the court do refuse it.
  8. Absolutely heartfelt and spot on. Like many on here, the only constant in our lives are our football club. Friends enter our lives and we lose touch. Family come and go from our lives too in a way and sadly we lose people close to us, as they pass away. We have relationships and even marriages and they don't always last. Once you become a Rovers fan though, that it for life. We can't move onto another club, like we can with a job, a relationship a marriage even, or new friends in and around us. If you ever go to a neutral game, or even watch one on the TV there is never the same enthusiasm as there is watching your own team and the thrill we all get when we rack up at somewhere like Stoke, at the end of last year and come away with a 0-3 win, is one of the best feelings in our lives. Sadly, these are few and far between currently and it is extremely difficult to watch not only the struggles on the pitch, but the pure incompetence and neglect that is going on behind the scenes and has been now for 13 years. Although I understand people turning away from it in despair, if anyone asks who your club is, it will always be Blackburn Rovers and even when not attending, the result of the Rovers match is still important and still affects our moods for the weekend. It is impossible to switch it off, even if we try to. The current lot will eventually be gone and fortunately we do still have groups such as the Trust and others, who although some of it may not be visible, the groups are trying to ensure that the people responsible for the current state of affairs are removed. They will eventually be gone and we can all stand up and be proud again, as without the people now fighting against this regime and making them accountable, they will not last forever. we will eventually win the fight and the club we will be there for our future generations to enjoy once again.
  9. They have probably tried a few times, but got the paperwork wrong. They have asked permission to approach Ewood Day nursery to see if any of their under fives are free to help with it tomorrow.
  10. The manager mentioned in his radio Lancs interview at least twice that a hand grenade had been thrown in to destroy his work. He was gagged on Friday simply because he was highly likely to call someone out for the same incompetence as last year, when it comes to getting a transfer over the line. This year the player was announced as being signed and in reality he hasn’t been. What he excuse will we have this time and who will be the fall guy. Last year it was Greg, so if it’s him again (and I’m not convinced it really was last year) do we just shrug our shoulders and just carry on regardless? Last years error cost us a play off place, this year’s could be the difference between us staying up and being relegated. A balls up like that once is unforgivable, but twice should mean it is the end for those responsible, sadly it won’t be and it will be business as usual by the end of next week.
  11. No, he is on a bench in his kitchen in the USA. Some slight issue with the signing again, but Greg will admit responsibility in a couple of weeks.
  12. If we knew for definite he was going then maybe let rip at the final whistle, but at the minute, although it looks likely, we don’t know. Maybe a few chants of we love you Jon Dahl we do during the match and Waggott out, may help.
  13. If he does go, hopefully he won’t sign an NDA and spill the beans about what he knows. I reckon him and Waggott have been at loggerheads heads since day one and he has some real dirt to dish.
  14. Hope it's not James Celtic from Forrest, as we know how that ends up.
  15. Whatever you do, make sure we don't headline Burnley sign 19 year old from Rovers.
  16. Send me a PM if you need any help. Hope I am not breaking any site rules there, but I am an independent mortgage adviser.
  17. With no speculation intended on the Adam Wharton deal. He lives with his parents, he has been with the club since the age of six, he is a fan, as are his family and his brother who also plays for the club. He is aged nineteen and has only played on a regular basis in senior football for about 1 year. Suddenly he is thrust into the limelight and he knows only too well that the money coming into the club is pretty important at this moment in time. He is also faced with finding a home in London and will need to adjust to life in the capital. I would imagine that caused an element of doubt in his own mind and also the mind of his parents, so perhaps they were unsure if this was the right thing to do and understandably perhaps stood back to reflect. From what little I do know, his brother has the same agent and is trusted by the family, so a bit of hesitation all round was highly likely to be the issue and who can blame them. Gutted as I am, all the very best to Adam, show the premier league and the world wide audience, what you can do.
  18. We played a team on Monday from another country and beat them convincingly.
  19. I could honestly cry about this one, even though we saw it coming.
  20. I will not be holding my breath, that's for sure.
  21. You are right, it is very easy to get overly excited, but form what I see, I really do believe he is the real deal. Time will tell and obviously he is very young, but I would be very excited about his prospects, if I was a member of his family.
  22. Spot on, but I still have a tear in my eye right now.
