Kaminski was't a promising youngster though was he? He was the real deal. If he had been kept we wouldn't be fighting relegation now.

That's how important that bit of business was.

And since we spent "big money"  on a replacement---what did we get? At best---one for the future.

    Well the future is now.

Strange thing - though Kaminski was better than what we have now - he wouldn't be in my top 10 keepers from my time watching Rovers (goes back to Howard Kendall era) - just shows how far we have dropped in the quality of our keepers.

Yes---and I don't understand the "he wanted to go" crap. He was contracted to us and we should have kept him .

    Not his choice to make.

Even if he'd run his contract down, so what? Plenty of others have without the Lunes caring.

I said before the season started "this will come back to haunt us" and it has. Started the season with a No1 keeper who is known to be error prone and no decent back-up.

This decision alone could cost us our place in he Championship.

This is the lowest I've ever felt about Rovers, there seems no hope. Celebrating our 150th in Div 3!

If we are trying to position ourselves as a development club for promising youngsters - we can't put too many blockers on players leaving providing our price is met. Where it all fell down is recruitment  - we spent what was big money for us on Kaminski's replacement - showing a reasonable profit overall - how the deficiencies in Leo's game wasn't picked up is down to the scouting (unless he is struggling to settle in this country and ends up a world beater - we can but hope)

Surprised you left the keeper off that list.

And not the first time he’s cost us games either by a long chalk. Brian Clough once said “nobody can lose you a game quicker than your goalkeeper” and there was a fella who knew what he was talking about!

It will be the worst couple of keepers I have ever known at Rovers in over 40 years, that will send us down.

I appreciate without him we would already be relegated - but today Smodics gave away the ball that directly led to a goal and also missed a good chance to make it 2-2.

I can't same I am optimistic, but I wouldn't be in the slightest surprised to see us beat Coventry next week.

On another point. - inspite of the press rumours linking him with Celtic, Luton, Brentford etc Sammi has  never slacked off for a minute. He’s always given 110%. Not like another recent striker we had when his head was turned.

Given his age and ongoing commitment,  I wouldn't begrudge him a Premiership move if it materialises. Not certain where it would leave Rovers - as we would have been relegated without him.

I know I've given him a bloody hard time, but I've just watched the goals back for the first time since watching them live last night. The first three and Dominic Hyam. Jesus bloody Christ. You'd be pissed off if someone made those three howlers in a whole season, let alone inside 70 minutes.

Carter HAS to start for the remainder of the season. That's a club-ending appearance from our 'skipper'.

Don't know what has happened to the player from last season. Possibly we start calling him Hyam-Diaz and he will rediscover his mojo.

  6. Though the performance obviously wasn't great - we were very much undone by Bristols best attacker Hyam. The way teams set up in the Championship it is difficult to come back from 1 goal, let alone 2. You also have to look at respective squad depth - they brought on 3 attackers - we struggle to start with 3 attackers.

TBH until Hyam intervened I thought the match had become fairly even - with them having some early chances and then us getting a foot hold and creating chances of our own.

After going 2 goals down - they defended in depth and just let us huff and puff.

Without Hyam's nightmare - not certain how the match would have panned out. TBH we created their best chances.

What really p@#£ed me off was the 5th - seeing their player run through unchallenged - while in the background Hyam jogged backed. For me summed up his match.

Finally the newspaper headline we have all been gagging for:(what could go wrong?

Bad owners could be forced to sell clubs by new English football regulator

Can't argue they are bad owners - but they have put in circa £20m a season. On the face of it they are heavily subsidising the club (even converting debt to shares) so unless they are really going to do an indepth analysis of our situation, will anything really change?

Not sure what folk are expecting to happen.

Funding will be approved, and we'll limp on like this forever.

I am interested as to the level of funding - enough to cover losses including or excluding Wharton fee - i.e. will we have a transfer fund this summer or will it be swallowed up to pay ongoing losses.

We are in a very unique and frustrating position as a Club...the folk running us from Pune Towers dont know their Arse from their Elbow. I dont want a Manager waxing lyrical when all around is turning to shyte,I dont appreciate being told its White when its clearly Black.

"Its not a must win game"....same again for Boro?

Turning a blind Eye to all wrong for the sake of large remuneration? no doubt it happens a lot but its not right.

I stand to be corrected - but I don't recollect JDT calling the owners or CEO in his first few weeks. All I remember is him going on about "the project". Regarding calling out the players - confidence is absolutely key in our position, especially with so little room to maneuver in the squad.

So it’s a positive we got a point against a team who only came for a point? How do you work that out?

I don't think they came for a point - and they nearly caught us with a sucker punch. Tactics we fall for time and time again

Whilst you make a very valid point, this game was a very viable 3 points. The majority of our remaining games not so much, that's were my major frustration comes from.

I agree we have, on paper, a frightening run in. However timing is everything in this league - with lots of matches divided by fine margins. Millwall is a good example - a few matches ago a very winnable fixture - last night was against a team who had just beaten Southampton and Watford.

  12. I am probably the only one seeing any positives from last night. Millwall had come to put 11 players behind the ball - they rarely threatened apart from set pieces - a perfect match for Rovers to lose to a sucker punch. But we didn't, and despite injuries, numerous fixtures and extra time, illness in the camp we were able to come back for a well deserved draw. Perfect, obviously not, in trouble - definitely, the odd sign we may get out of this mess - I think so.

No plan B after conceding the first, 11 men behind the ball, no high press trying to get back into the game. Not that they're better than us just shit tactics, shit mentality, shit preparation and shit performance.

Disgrace the lot of them on and off the pitch.

Yeh, new manager is useless - he has had a full pre-season and not had his first choice midfield sold or injured.

Now Eustace has the hardest job of all to distill last night and go again at Swansea.

Superb job by Eustace last night - as you say - we will find out how good a manager he is now, picking players up to put in a performance after playing so many matches (+ overtime) in such a short space of time.

Annoyed me listening to commentators moaning about the number of matches Newcastle have had to play this season. They want to try the Championship, with a wafer thin squad.

as ever with venkys and the contemptible waggot, they`ve done exactly the opposite of what they should have done, keep the lad till the end of the  season and get another 5/6 million for him in the summer,im`e certain crystal palace was`nt his choice of destination and eustace won`t see one penny of that money next season, you have to ask yourself, what happens when we run out of playing assets to sell,as it stands we are down to szmodics and carter as the only players who are worth any great value, once those two are gone then the cupboard is bare and we be royally f****d

    venkys out

    swag out

Keep the lad - pulls up with ACL.....hmm. As we know with Dack, it's a balancing act.
