What the hell is wrong with modern society that people have zero self awareness? They're getting all frothy mouthed about the JW era, seemingly completely unaware of the similarities (barring the local owner vs miles away owners). Good, honest, historic working class town riding the crest of wave after having substantial financial backing pumped in. Clubs with a decent background that had languished somewhat in the decade or so before the new journey began. An amazing feel good factor that unites the local fan base (and draws in new fans from outside) as the club not only becomes successful on the pitch, but does wonders for the geographical area itself. But they're calling us a bunch of w****rs for enjoying and celebrating that period, whilst they are currently neck deep in it. 🤔 Siri, give me a real life example of a famous meme:

I've no problem with differing opinions, but to claim "best ownership" is just madness. It's not defendable in any way, shape or form. Might as well claim the sky's not blue. And as for their "support" being "incredible". Mindblowing. They've supported the club financially, no doubt about that. The near quarter of a billion hole illustrates it. But support to me is so much more than that, particularly in the cut throat world of football. It's like a boss paying their staff minimum wage, and getting a big pat on the back and thank-you. Forget that they worked 12hr shifts with no break, no H & S equipment provided which caused work injuries, inadequate toilet facilities provided on site etc etc. The employees revolt and confront the boss and he/she just points to a payslip and says: "Yeah, but look, I paid you!" Yeah, you did the absolute bare minimum that was required. And expect to be lauded for it. Not the perfect analogy, but I'm pretty sick of "Yeah, but they pay the bills!", like that even comes close to evaluating their overall performance as owners.

Well it's nice to dream then. Imagine getting better ownership back in the club and knowing The Rao's had permanently lost 100's of millions of pounds. That would be a sweet tasting pint that night, even if we were in League 2. Not holding my breath though.

Did Morris end up writing off a lot of his debt? I can see the new owners agreed to pay 25p on every £1 owed to unsecured creditors. There's generally some way out of these financial messes if people put their minds to it.

Tbf most teams don't end up rock bottom of the form table and with most amount of goals conceded in the league. I'd hazard a guess only us and Rotherham have done it this season.
