  1. Because we're better on the counter attack. Have been for a while. But I think a stat was put up during the Wednesday game on Sky for just Eustace's reign. And over 50% possession had less points result than under. Even though we're at home, a relegation battle makes teams more cagey. Cov now have nothing to lose, all guns blazing, come at us hard. We sit back, low possession stats, then pick them off on the break with Sammie and Dolan's pace. Easy peasy right.
  2. And if you look at the player ratings the only ones we still have are the lowest scoring. Dolan 5, Gallagher 5 and this from Pears:
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/59872928 I just put myself through watching one of Pears early performances for us v Wigan, Jan 2022. Commentator: "That's one of the worst 10 mins of goalkeeping I've seen in over 50 years of watching football." So what did we do in the 2 years since? Make him our No 1. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  4. I guess the joys of that fry up hitting your belly are a distant memory. Surprised you haven't brought it back up.
  5. All I can think about is how that performance AGAIN was by a bunch of players that sat in a function room sulkily moaning about how the fans were unfair on them. The absolute arrogance, delusion, and cheek of that moment hits hard today. Fuck the lot of em.
  6. A few weeks later I'm suddenly a massive fan of that rule. Was definitely blocking the keepers vision. 😀
  7. You're not alone. There's a couple Burnley fans come on here occasionally.
  8. Birmingham goal disallowed for a player offside in front of keeper. Like ours but more central. Birmingham fans had already invaded the pitch to celebrate.
  9. The Premier League crapping on all below them as per.
  10. I prefer not to focus on our inadequacies. It's much easier to lash out and criticise others. Let me have my emotional crutch and stop with the reality please.
  11. Leicester going to lose to all our relegation rivals, then hammer us final game to save their promotion. It's infuriating.
  12. He definitely 'attempted' one that sticks in the mind.
  13. Pears the first Rovers player to skip past a BC man.
  14. Maybe it's become an adjective without us knowing.
  15. Can't wait till we bring Chrisene and Moran off the bench when desperate for a goal. The lack of backup firepower is depressing. Hopefully the 1st team are on point tonight and little reinforcements needed.
  16. Fair enough. I seem to get the ones who think they would be competing for top 4 within a few years. Must be the company I keep. With Prem money, and their set up and support, they would get there. But it would take a hell of a long time.
  17. Boy do we! If you're alluding to the OF teams thinking they could waltz into the Prem and compete then I agree. Would take them the best part of a decade to do imo.
  18. Anyone but City for me on the League. It's so dull watching them win it year after year. No matter how good they are to watch. I know I'm a minority on that. Most people I know are just desperate not to see a Klopp farewell title. And the thought of Arteta doing a victory dance....well, I get it. I just like change though.
  19. Not really a jibe at you or anyone, just a general observation. 'We' all do it sometimes, whether it's some of the women's football, or National League . Get all pious about the quality and skill on show. When it should be mainly about excitement and entertainment. It's pretty funny considering the 4hrs of shite we religiously view on an average week. This last week probably a rare exception.
  20. Jeez, lot of negativity for the OF derby on here. Cracking game that. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Listened to 1st half and radio, watched 2nd. Who cares how crap the standard is as long as it's entertaining. I'll be surprised if Man Utd Liverpool is even half as fun as that. High chance it'll be 0-0. Hope I'm very wrong.
  21. This time last week I expected us to lose our next 2 games. That would see us tonight on the edge of a cliff, out the bottom 3 on GD, in awful form, and looking nailed on for relegation. As it is, one single win from here puts us 7 clear with better goal difference. That would basically mean teams would need better than 2 wins and a draw from the last 5 games. Some ask that for clubs in a scrap. I'm a hell of a lot happier and more confident than this time last Sat. Where I was still fuming about the ref the day before.
  22. And then some! Wow, this is quite the performance. 👏👏
  23. Good, cos I feel like we need 3 goals to get a win. 2 goals smells suspiciously of a heart wrenching draw.
