Even the neighbours can hear the loud click of the redeeming off switch, whenever his voice comes out of the wireless.

Yes, it was that same pub, where he is supposed to have said it.

From someone, who gave the horse a loaf of bread. " Ronnie Jepson said that Colin and himself had been offered the Blackburn roles. They were planning how they would manage things around the job, when they were told by phone that the offer had been withdrawn."

I have to say I was angry, when we did not use the market to "sort out the defence"....and I did not buy TM's rowing back comments over the summer. However, I think we must give him the credit for his analysis and making a decision to utilise Williams in the CB role. A happy accident is not fair!

Absolutely! My concern is around the current, selective amnesia and the implications of the (blind) fresh start thing..

Re last phrase, point taken I was trying to be humorous!..No success like failure etc You are quite right, though. There are a number of such phrases to characterise/dismiss each side of the divide. Yes, I should have resisted it.

Because "badly advised" is a code for Venky denial, Stockholm syndrome and refusal to locate responsibility in owners, who refused to listen to the appeals of honest Rovers fans...and, of course, selective amnesia. Get behind our innocent owners FFS!

What if you and the greengrocer were in cahoots and the other greengrocer was a silent partner? Your name was above the shop door, as you sold dodgy veg together. Then, things got too hot and you and said greengrocer fell out? ....Oops, and the authorities were in partnership with the same greengrocer?

I heard of a schoolboy, who wrote an essay on Hitler and wrote about his weird moustache, his deliberate attempts to look like Chaplin and his dreams of becoming an artist in Vienna. No mention of the Holocaust though!

Good point that. The "fresh start" syndrome is a well-known mistake made by those, working to protect children from abuse/neglect etc. What it does is allow workers to choose to avoid analysis of patterns of behaviour, and thus reduces focus on actual risk. I also think it partly relates to discomfort about what harm people are actually capable of doing. And I think that speaks to the Stockholm syndrome at work with many Rovers fans."They were badly advised" They have learned their lesson." ( heard as early as 2011 by the way!)...which allows amnesia of behaviour during Lambert's tenure and the sudden appearance of Owen Coyle...5 years after the "badly advised" appointment of Steve Kean! FOV by the way!

I see the "remoaner" thing might be a joke. I guess the trouble with the term is that it is convenient slang used by the likes of Johnson and Farage to dismiss genuine concerns about a no deal Brexit. Clearly, neither no deal nor Ireland ever came up in the pre referendum er "debate"/lies ( choose your own term) Actually, your term may be more apt than you intended. After all, It is not dissimilar to the language used by those, who dismissed genuine concerns about the ransacking of our club. Like the country, our fanbase has been bitterly split between "Venky lovers" and "fair weather fans" ( to choose two from many alternatives). My take is that Steve Kean is pretty much universally hated by Rovers fans. Only 73%? You have to be having a laugh!

(Too early?) January transfer window 2020

I guess if you drag your feet about solving problems, they remain unsorted, as others will emerge..especially if the whole approach is part scattergun and part recruiting for "investment", as opposed to the here and now requirements of the team on the field. Going nowhere fast!

Oh, fair enough. I agree with that one. Venky's can take no credit for getting rid of him...which is very scary.

I have now formed the opinion that this is a fallacy-like the one that says Kean would have gone, if we had lost at Old Trafford. Venky's had given him an extended contract (I think) and they never even sacked him, even after we had gone down. Bloody Hell, he had to resign and claim constructive dismissal! They were never going to sack him. We, as fans should not take (or give to other fans) the responsibility for Kean staying on.
