  1. Could there be north of 20k? Or is that pushing it a bit? North of 18k Mayne?
  2. I was at the Bolton one. We had the bottom right of the lower tier, I think around 1,800. Certainly alot more than 7/800.
  3. Very enjoyable reading as per usual. We have such a fascinating range of posters! Tickets on general sale now, with reasonable prices and the week still to I think we'll sell pretty much all of them. Start of a make or break month. Considering the other fixtures, a win on sat and we've one foot in the playoffs
  4. I agree with the previous poster who said that we should've given them 3k, therefore the same % of capacity as they gave us. Only I would have put them all in the lower tier closest the Riverside and opened the other half/third of the DL to our fans. And opened the DU to our fans...
  5. When are Sheff U getting their points deduction for cheating?!
  6. I don't think Bham are anything like the team we played earlier in the season at Ewood, when they were in v good form. Of their last 8 they've lost 5, drawn 1 and won 2. We need to be going there and winning!
  7. Hopefully the merger motion passes for you guys this time and Bury can be back playing football at Gigg lane for next season! https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64954008
  8. Not that I'm trying to put words in his mouth, but I think it's more of an indictment of how bad football ownership is in general as opposed to anything particularly good that Venkys have done. Kind of similar in a way JDT is like the 8th longest serving manager in the championship (or whatever it is) despite being I'm the job 8 months
  9. Has anyone had a little peak at the next round of fixtures straight after the international week? What a stonking round. Small matter of Pne vs Blackpool, Cardiff v Swansea and Luton vs Watford. Then to add to that Sheff U are at Norwich and millwall play WBA! Only really ourselves and Boro who play against teams outside of the promotion dogfight! They all can't win, so if we win we could be well clear of the chasing pack!
  10. Sorry I missed all that? What's the points deduction about? Dodgy finances?
  11. I missed that, tell me more. Was it about the offside winner or being unable to compete with global giants like Sheffield United?
  12. Good old Grant Hanley scoring an og to see Norwich drop a further 2 points. Shame Bristol city couldn't do owt and Sunderland couldnt get at least a point. However more dropped points for wba so building a buffer
  13. Surely a 3k allocation is about fair. We got roughly 10% of their capacity, so 10% of ours being 3k. Problem with sticking them in the upper tier, won't that mean that we'd have to leave the entire lower tier empty? Surely it's been to have them top and bottom in one third of the Darwen end?
  14. I don't understand why Rovers don't stagger it more so there isn't this mad rush? They must roughly know how many are each category. So why not allocate on successive days? S/T with 1875 membership S/T holders with 2 away days, then 1, then open to S/T holders Per the rest of their schedule. After all there are still 10 days to the game. Instead, unsurprisingly, when it became open to the vast majority of fans on 1 day ie S/T holders (thurs), it was chaos.
  15. Oh really? Fair enough then, but I read in the article above that Roverboy posted that he had an Irish grandparent.
  16. Not a big fan of the one grandparent qualification rule. Bit obscure to me
  17. Welcome! However, as much as we need all the supporters we can get, please don't give up on Bury! Surely there will be a phoenix club starting in non league still playing at Gigg Lane soon enough who will need your support?!
  18. He seems to be in great form at the moment! Long may it continue and hopefully he makes a few of us eat our words!
  19. A couple of months later Tom, how are you feeling about it all? Good run, fa cup 1/4 etc?
  20. Really interesting you say that. I was taking a look at league 1 for example. The team in 6th, (so obviously the last playoff place) Barnsley have 60 points already, but off just 32 games. By comparison, Norwich have 55 points from 35 games. Championship is very congested, with everyone taking points off each other. The playoff points mark will be super low this year!
  21. I find this fuc&ing hilarious. All that bollocks about games having to kick off at 9am on a Sunday, bubble fixture etc. Sky come along, 'sure 8pm on a wed night is fine, no worries'. Just goes to show what a load of shite it all is. F**k sky and Murdoch btw
  22. Heads must role. We need full disclosure of what took place, timeline, everything
