John Eustace - our head coach

Whether people agreed or disagreed with JDT's departure (I'm the latter), we just have to get behind the new guy and wish him the very best. Good luck, Jon I mean John! -

He could score loads more goals in MLS and his fee goes up....equally, could be rubbish and we'd still end up paying over the odds having pre-agreement in place. -

Blackburn lost the appeal. Duncan returns to the USA. -
You just know the club will think "we need the fans on our side so let's employ Gareth Ainsworth who is also a fan!". Personally, I'd go for Ian Evatt who has a high reputation as a young coach with his progressive playing style at the clubs he's managed at. He helped rebuild Bolton to help them fly high in League 1. The question is, would he want to trade that for life at Blackburn? 😂

Was the meeting held at the ground/training ground? I am still baffled by the CCTV person leaking this. Whether you agree with them leaking it or not, it's worrying that something like this can happen. If you can't trust those that work for you, who can you trust?! It seems like everyone at the club is untrustworthy!

You can already predict what will happen. They'll get rid of a few people including JDT and then start talking about a fresh start. The pathetic thing about it is that a fresh start will never happen unless Venkys and friends f*** off!

Boxing Megathread
Tim Southampton Rover replied to ABBEY's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
Whether it's an injury or a crap main event, yet again it's the fans that get screwed over. Boxing really has gone down the pan in the last few decades. This fight gave me a bit of hope but as quick as it was announced, it was postponed. The best aren't fighting each other (always an excuse) and the shows are now played in front of empty arenas instead of sold out world famous boxing venues. Nowadays the organisers put on crap events featuring cross-over mma/boxing stars or internet "boxers" to sell boxing because they know it makes easy money despite how poor the shows really are. Even Fury vs Ngannou, despite how well Ngannou did, was only close because Fury trained poorly for it. It won't change though because the media and the organisers make a lot of money. Boxing is on the decline and the real fans will just switch off and not return. -
Venky’s, HMRC…The Plot Thickens ?

In the normal world if I were to do my BAU activities in my job then it will get done correctly without issues. In my experience the time it's difficult to do my job is when people from above get involved and make strange demands/requests or don't pass on the right information then that's when it becomes a mess. It wouldn't surprise me if that's happened here. -

Yep. He's 100% scoring isn't he? The Blackburn curse will strike again. -

I'm sure i'm in the minority but the two people I trust from the club are JDT and GB. They may not be perfect, I'm sure they'd be the first to admit it, but at least they have at least tried to improve the club from within. The trouble is they are surrounded by incompetence that will no doubt impact how they work. I also respect that they have also gone on record to speak directly to the fans and trying to be transparent even in cases where it's gone absolutely wrong. If GB has offered his resignation and JDT also in the summer then I think it's probably because they have some integrity and know it's been shambolic and we deserve better. Unfortunately, in my view, the wrong people are offering their resignations. -
I thought there were something like 200 applicants after Steve Kean left Rovers. I imagine if a position was available to manage Blackburn then a lot of people will back themselves to make a difference or see it as an opportunity to get into management. It was a surprise to see JDT come to us considering he could have managed in the top leagues in Europe. We will always be an attractive club due to our history. Sadly we all know it doesn't matter who comes in when the owners and board are the ones in charge. Even Pep or Klopp would struggle.

Came on in 1st half. Just got caught in possession for Brighton's 3rd goal. Probably wishes he was back with us now! 😂
