  1. I think a red is harsh for that but by the letter of the law I think it’s a red. I was at city a few seasons back when they beat Liverpool 5-1 and mane cleaned the keeper out but he never took his eye off the ball coming over his shoulder as the Keeper came flying out. I thought that was harsh but if that’s the law then it’s a red. Although the rules change so much I’m not sure what is or isn’t anymore
  2. Sick of hearing about Tony’s possession based football. Last time the stats flashed up we had 28% Possession. We’ve hit more long balls to no one that I care to remember. Absolutely bored to death ...again
  3. I’m working so will miss this and I’m genuinely not arsed. Feels horrible to type that but it’s the truth. I’m going a boring 0-0 with Tony prattling on about it being a hard place to come and it’s another point on the bag blah blah
  4. Obviously I would have him over Johnson. Didn’t Derrick Williams get our player of the year not long back and not have the best season. ive probably seen him a handful of times a season and in highlights and whenever I think of keogh I think mistake waiting to happen and it seems I’m not the only one. I’ve seen him get man of the match a few times to but with his current age I just think we need to be getting a lot better and I’d rather play one of our own until the end of the season from the u21s to gain experience and on less wages. He isn’t the long term answer and the short term is irrelevant this season now as we will do enough to stay up. Opinions I suppose. I’d rather play Dolan than Elliott for the same reason
  5. I wouldn’t want keogh. Was a decent but error prone CB On his day. We really need to be aiming higher if we want to get anywhere
  6. Well I’m actually shocked I’ve paid to watch this proving my devotion to rovers goes far deeper than I thought. Like heroin I know this is bad for my mental health and it’s a waste of money but addiction is a hard habit to break. So like the drugged up homeless man I used my last tenner til I get paid to suffer for the quick buzz of a team sheet and false expectations to watch. 0-2 to Stoke COYB 😔
  7. So glad David Silva isn’t a secret rovers fan or this could have gotten messy 😅
  8. 😂I love her really just more in a background noise way 😂
  9. If I spend the afternoon with my wife I’m guaranteed a clean sheet at least 😂
  10. 0-0 1-1. Don’t care the exciting , brilliant, expansive football we played at the start of the season just made me realise how utterly awful and miserable the last decade has been. For a few brief weeks I paid my tenner and sat optimistic, excited and remembered what it felt to be a rovers fan. If I want to be bored and miserable I will save myself a tenner and earn some brownie points by staring and nodding blankly at the wife instead of the tv.
  11. We really need to work on those set pieces . Corners and free kicks have been a real weak spot this season
  12. Whilst the result is sickeningly familiar The players out there tonight played well. The whole team with the exception of Armstrong, who has been far to greedy and it’s cost us. It’s ok to have a few selfish moments (especially with his record this season) but it’s blindingly obvious tonight that he played for himself. Tony picked a good 11 and can’t fault him either as he set us up well and everybody had a role and stuck to it . However his substitutions and his lack of in game tactical knowledge has cost us, along with Armstrong’s greed. Davenport should have been on for Johnson long before he did , possibly should have started after his very good performances when he’s had a chance . Didn’t feel like a game for Dolan but that’s just personal opinion and if he scores or assisted I would have to eat my words. overall I thought we gave 100 pcent and played well and I would never have a go at a rovers team that gave it there all and lost. However as potentially promising as this team looks the that lack of bite and clinical way of finding a result will cost us. I’m far more encouraged than I have been for along time and we are actually enjoyable to watch for the first time in a long time but as far as promotion goes we just arnt ruthless enough and Tony just hasn’t got that extra tactical wit to get us over the line . It’s sad but it’s true . proud yet deflated. Lots of positives and the same few negatives that kill us every time. A clap and a large sigh we go again
  13. That’s why these massive speculated transfer fees are ridiculous. He’s not got the intelligence to play top level
  14. Mom Harvey Elliott easily special mention to nyambe who has also played very well
  15. A few goals in this and who knows we might get a few more gigs on sky . Can’t think of a better half of football I’ve watched on sky this season
  16. Beat me to it was just going to say what a brilliantly entertaining game. This rovers side is not the same side as last season. I have that horrible feeling of optimism that only football can give you
  17. Must be watching a different game. I think we have been excellent all over the pitch so far
  18. Doesn’t say anything about this game being on sky anywhere I can see. Been on the sky live games and no mention of it. Where have you got your info ?
  19. Well said . Buckley is a talent and will come good. I really urge patience with him from supporters . He will grow, fill out and gain more confidence as time goes on. We have a good squad of players , no need to rush his development. It will happen naturally and when it does we will have a player
  20. I’d be more surprised if we didn’t bring a CB in with the injuries and suspensions we get over the course. I think a competent CB who could push any of our defenders would be sufficient. kipre in loan like the ossy said would be perfect
  21. Well fair play to them today. To get a result under those circumstances makes me very proud . The effort and commitment is unquestionable today . Disappointingly happy . It’s a weird emotion
