  1. Oh I don't know. They brought some pretty big followings in the 80s (which bucked the trend back then). I distinctly remember their fans being on all 4 sides of the ground one night (a la Man City and Bolton) when they were possibly going for promotion? I think that might have been from the third division as well?
  2. The most recent ones in the league that spring to mind are wins at Swansea (3-0), QPR (4-1) and of course the 5-0 at Hillsborough against this lot but that was a while ago now.
  3. It was the same style top that John Lennon wore in the ‘Help’ video. I had my trusty Adidas Japan trainers on mate, Bruno Maglis too good for gigs 😉
  4. The one he wrote with Noel Gallagher (called Jumble Queen) is an absolute banger! Not sure about Soul Wanderings but the other slow new one, Nothing, sounds lovely. I have also heard three others from ‘66’ played acoustically at a charity show in December. There’s one called Ship of Fools, a co-write with Suggs, that sounds amazing. Im glad he dropped Town Called Malice from the set last night. Highlight for me was a song called Rockets from the On Sunset album. Nailed it! Also, as a mod I was delighted when his bass player came up to me before the gig in the Drummers Arms and asked me about the top I was wearing 😎😉✊🏻🍻
  5. Weller was on top form at KGH tonight 👏🏻👏🏻✊🏻🍻
  6. That’s three oasises Tyrone. Or should that be oasii? The Jam - Down In the Tube Station at Midnight
  7. RIP ‘Deadly’ Derek Underwood, another childhood hero gone 😢
  8. Wife's Diary: Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong; He said, "nothing." I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behaviour. I don't know why he didn't say, “I love you, too.” When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep; I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster. Husband's Diary: Who the fuck loses to Ross County??
  9. Oasis - Champagne Supernova Featuring Weller on guitar and BVs
  10. Why did he not only get changed but ‘lost’ the clothes he had been wearing that night? Did he anticipate the neo-nazi police were about to frame him?
  11. While this is true there are also a significant number of what we would call ‘glory hunters’. I would also wager that most Celtic fans have never seen the inside of a chapel, likewise the other lot and a church.
  12. This. I used to work in Motherwell and there is a mass exodus of old firm fans leaving the town in droves whenever Celtic or Rangers are playing. I’m sure places like Paisley, Greenock etc are the same. If even a fraction of them went to Fir Park (or St Mirren Park or Cappielow) instead it would make such a difference to those town teams. Rovers have the same problem with United and Liverpool and have had for 50 years. But it seems worse/more obvious in Scotland.
  13. The DNA evidence alone was overwhelming. Then when you realise that he had conveniently disposed of other incriminating evidence (clothes that he had been wearing on the night etc) but the clincher for me was the Bruno Magli shoes. The odds on it being anyone other than OJ Simpson that committed those murders was literally billions to one. Joe Bloggs would have been convicted on much less evidence than that and like @Gav I watched the trial live at the time as it was fascinating.
  14. Not out yet mate. Released on his 66th birthday at the end of May (hence the title). He's playing KGH on Tuesday for those lucky enough to have a ticket. I’m coming down for it ✊🏻🍻
