I expect Leicester and Coventry to win their home midweek games.
Coventry will come to Ewood still in the playoffs mix and Leicester could be putting the icing on a title win at home.
I too expect no further points, hope 49 are enough and trust in the inadequacy of others.
Not pessimistic, just realistic.
If I'm wrong I can be 😊
Edit: the Leeds of last night would have torn us a new one.
Optimism sees the light at the end of the tunnel; pessimism feels the darkness all around; realism sees the train lights, coming right at you! 😬
I’m afraid we are in the realistic state of affairs with our club. I see no more points being won by this bunch of Rovers.- 2

I expect our younger players to make mistakes- youthful exuberance and all.
but, I’d prefer U21’s over 5 or 6 of the lot that played vs Wednesday. Our fans deserve a better effort, and fewer mistakes, from players who are old enough to play better.

Funny you say that. I was saying today that this was my least favourite rovers side of the last 30 years. With the exception of a few (szmodics for example) I find them a tough bunch to root for, and it's not down to ability for a lot of them.
The relegation side of 16/17 wasn't great but I certainly felt more connected with them by the end of the season then I do to this lot now.
Yes, I loved Mulgrew, Conway, & Graham; Wharton, Raya & Lenihan were up & comers. Shoot, Lowe & Bennett weren’t bad players.
Of the current bunch, there’s Sammie in a class all his own. I still appreciate Rankin-Costello, Wharton contributes, Carter isn’t bad, & Tronstad could be a piece of the future puzzle. Siggy, we need to see him fully healthy. I think Travis wants out. I’d say “no” to re-signing Gally & Dolan. Hyam, Pears, & Brittain truthfully, I don’t think thryre interested in playing for Rovers anymore.

Before the game unfolded, I thought a scrappy point today against a desperate foe was the only point we would earn the rest of the season. But I thought it would be enough to keep us up, on goal diff.
Now, I cannot see a point in the final two. What happens to us after the finale at Leicester? We’ve truly a broken, poor lot of players, and certainly will lose our very best.
In the immediate future, I’m afraid we’re in for some dark days, darker than we’ve experienced to date. It will certainly test our patience and resolve as fans, some, whose perseverance has already reached its limit.- 2

Pears, good save. It’s past time for that, though

Our salvation will come against Coventry.
How I’d love to believe this.

Sammie sails one… I’ve seen it all now

LoL unbelievable
with what’s on the line today, we picked a strange time to turn into the Three Stooges on the pitch

They are on 3rd team center-back now

was it already crooked at the bridge?
I think you might be right. Wharton gave as much as he got, for sure

Oh that nose is broke

Bucko getting ready…Britain came down awkward there. Staying on

Two struggling teams on display here. We’re more than capable of winning this, or giving it away.
I’m hoping Sammie has another goal in him.- 2

Sammie…! Very nearly

His link up has been exactly what you’d want from him so far
I was about to say, he had three consecutive possessions where he did not give it away.

Our marketing people stink.
The below is only an example:if Rovers sold 20,000 tix at £10/each, they would make more money than selling 10,000 tix at £20/each.
How?
20,000 would buy more kits, pies & pints. it would also be more likely to encourage fans in Rovers’ catchment area. Young, old, & families alike.
Winning improves attendance. IMO, the club can’t reduce ticket prices to every single game. But they can drop prices to insure fans still want to attend to see “their team”, even if that team is not chasing promotion.
The club flubbed on this a long time ago, when they didn’t drop ticket prices on the final 2 or 3 home games, when it was obvious our fans were not going to see a promotion-chasing Rovers team this year. -
Assuming it all goes well & we stay up, we have to get ready for a crazy summer...
- I'm sure Sammie will be sold off;- Loanees return to parent clubs;
- I cannot see Gally and/or Dolan both being re-signed;
- Travis coming back?
We could retain Fleck (if healthy). I don't see McFadz getting a new deal.
Also, Siggy will need to step up, & give us more than he did this year. Tronstad as well. -
So, a mere point in the final three games would save us, IF…
Hud & ShefW both win twice, we’re still safe on goal diff.
-
Wednesday/Stoke & Hud all draw, QPR lost. This helps, but...
Millwall & brum win, we're not totally out of the soup yet.

Great win today! What's your thoughts about Hyam today? I was watching on a very small screen, and can't really tell, but was he there? Did he play well, and did he deliver a proper reaction to last game disaster?
From what I saw, 11 heroes on the pitch today. McFadz on at HT, did a great job at frustrating Leeds, who bit the dust at every opportunity, trying to get calls that never came, on shots they couldn’t make.
I believe Hyam & Brittain redeemed themselves. Gally & Dolan with the brilliant header & cagey pass to Sammie for the winner. Otherwise, the latter two had a rough day today. All in all, a very rewarding game for Rovers.

One thing is sure:
Our Rovers are capable of playing some excellent footie on occasion. As the results at Sund, S’oton & Leeds attest, all great performances.
Now, the record at Ewood, I have no explanation for that.
-
Also, 36,000+ at Elland today. So happy that 30,000+ of those are disappointed, lol

Yep, no way to tell.
I had a certain degree of confidence in Hyam & Brittain earlier this season; I hope each player recovers some of that confidence the last two games.
How crazy this season has been; watch us lose big vs Coventry, & then get a point at Leicester. foxes won big today, they practically have promotion nailed down.
