  1. Only player to join Derby yesterday was Duane Holmes.
  2. I would like to see us either offer trials or short term deals to any of (with longer contracts an option with success): - Jack Rodwell (depending on wage cut) - Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (has a healthy goals and assists record - can play on the wing or upfront) - Jan Kirchhoff (would give us better defensive options - can play CB - CDM) - Robert Huth (tons of experience and would give us a backbone) - Ross Turnbull (experienced in Championship and would give us a superb backup to Kean) I'd also like to see us make offers to sign on loan with a view any of: - Marcus Maddison (to be signed for £2.5 million if loan period successful) - Harry Chapman (to be signed for £1 million if loan period successful) - Wil Trapp (to be signed in January - I trust Mowbray's scouting network) - Nahki Wells (the scum are massively overstocked with forwards with Matěj Vydra coming in last night - sign him with a view and make them regret letting him go) Above is a fantasy list. None will happen, although most are achievable.
  3. Would it not make sense to create a separate topic for the remaining 21 days of the loan window to keep post Transfer Window and loan rumours separate? Just a thought.
  4. I think the disappointing thing about the latter end of this transfer window for me is seeing the likes of Ipswich Town and Wigan Athletic making tidy squad depth enhancing signings. Some really good players have been signed. I know it's not really Mowbray's job to settle fans nerves. But a couple of carefully chosen loans with a view to sign permanently could really do a lot for fan confidence over the next week! Also might be worth taking a look at the Free Agents available. Jack Rodwell, Robert Huth, Jan Kirchhoff, Kazenga LuaLua, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and are all without a club. Maybe worth a trial and short term deal to offer a longer one? Thoughts?
  5. So silent at the moment. The offer hasn't seemingly been rejected. It's quite possible Forest have just ignored the offer.
  6. I suspect this is a Sky Sports News non-story personally. But on the off-chance that it isn't. I guess the thinking might be that the loan target, winger or striker is interchangeable. We tried for a winger on a longterm deal, with the striker signing potentially being a loan. That didn't come off, so now maybe go for a striker on a longterm deal and bring in another winger on loan? Chapman maybe?
  7. 5 goals and 3 assists in 35 (mostly sub appearance) games last season. Only 19 years old. 6 ft tall.
  8. Don't buy it. Literally. I think this is one of those non-stories Sky puts out to attract news.
  9. Boro have offered £5.5 million for Freeman. We have dropped our interest by the looks of it. Now would be a good time to show interest in Chapman or Maddison.
  10. We'd have to make an offer to present him with that choice. No Rovers offer has been made as yet.
  11. He got the third highest number of assists (out of all Championship players) and 5 goals for a struggling poor QPR team last season.
  12. How can he be having a medical if their Chairman said a bid was rejected a matter of hours ago.
  13. Rovers preparing £1 million bid for Rangers stopper Wes Foderingham according to Lancashire Telegraph.
  14. With Freeman seemingly not happening we should make a move for Marcus Maddison. We can apparently budget a move. He can play left midfield and right midfield so would give us options.
  15. 45 games played in the Football League Championship, 5 goals scored and 13 assists. Only Barry Douglas (Wolves) 14 and Robert Snodgrass (Aston Villa) 14 had a better assists record.
  16. Interesting little titbit of information. We didn't sign John McGinn due to the wages he was asking for apparently, paying the transfer fee wasn't an issue. Rovers are now in discussions with Columbus Crew in the hopes of agreeing a fee for Will Trapp.
  17. Armstrong was done on Saturday. Announced Monday.
  18. My guess right now would be two permanent signings and one loan tomorrow.
  19. Don't think there is going to be any signings today. But think we might be in ongoing negotiations with Columbus Crew for Will Trapp.
  20. Boro have used all their subs, none of which were Chapman. Even 3 nil up, he doesn't get a run out.
  21. In fairness. I don't think many people are. It is nigh on impossible to get information out of the club at present, and anyone who claims to have a line into the club at the moment from non-local media related sources are talking nonsense! There has been the occasional indicator of info coming out. But real solid names have come after the club have signaled interest formally or scouts have been spotted.
