It is very odd they haven't said anything. Maybe he is under pressure and if we lose tomorrow, he is gone?
Please lose 1-0 then. Get rid of this prat as soon as possible. Kean number 2

Our best player, and to my knowledge only one who openly says he wants EPL no matter what, is Dack. And he just signed a new contract.
Let's not be short sighted, Dacks only signed a contract because he got a bad injury. No injury and he'd be doing exactly what Armstrong is.
He's financially set for the next few years while he get used to any setbacks this injury has caused. I don't knock him for that but don't try and convince anyone he's signed out of love of belief in Mowbrays vision. That's crap.

433 please
Kaminski
Nyambe Lenihan Harwood Douglas
Travis Davenport Rothwell
Elliott Armstrong Dollen
Dack is obviously not fit and playing him in a deep position is useless to me. Team needs energy to match this Barnsley team as there isn't really any quality difference at all.
Mowbray out
-
I don't know Mowbray on any personal level so there's no like or dislike but how long does a slow build take. The only question that should ever be asked of a manager is can they hit a target set. Our has to be promotion because Venkys surely won't continue to run at huge losses forever and Rovers are in massive debt.
It's promotion or bust for me and I can confidently say Mowbray won't ever get us promoted. He doesn't have it in him.

Why couldn't Harvey Elliot play as a number 10 with the Dolan on the wing. He'd give as much battle as Evans and play a 4231 with holtby and trybul as holders.
Anything for Evans out of the team
-
Should Armstrong be starting? His recent performances have been dreadful and the attitude he has like the club owe him something is worse. Maybe a drop to the bench for a game as a wake up call.

Play like that for the rest of the season and we go up...if we’d have converted 25% of our chances tonight we’d have won comfortably.
Playing like that WE ARE one of the top teams in the league. If you were a ‘football man’ you’d get it tbf.
To be fair Paul your trying to judge football matches purely on stats alone while ignoring the main state of all. The score.
Also the phrase 'If you were a football man you'd get it tbf' is very disrespectful to someone who from what I've seen hasn't said anything to justify it.
So in your own words 'If you were a football man' you'd get we lost 3-1 right?
Give the manager until end of November. If he's dropping bollocks get rid as this is shit or bust season. About 8 or more can go for free in the summer which means there's little chance next year.

We live in a world where Joao Felix went for something like £126 million off the back of one good season in Portugal. Different ends of the spectrum yes but accrued time at a certain level doesn't really translate to worth. It is all about potential. £8million is small change these days. There are often bargains to be had. A £4.5million bargain doesn't detract from another players value.
Isn't that karlan grant at Huddersfield being quoted as 15 million? So I'd say 12 million for Armstrong would be the middle point of his value probably more because he can play a few positions. 5 million max for our players is daft.
-
Chapman gives the opportunity to try something different out wide for the team. Everyone knows what you get from the usuals why not try something new. I don't take note of effort their professional football players on thousands a week.
If I wanted only effort the fans can play in the team instead. Talent before effort and get the manager doing his job which is use what he's got available to the maximum.

Do you have a name in mind ?
The Wycombe manager. Someone whose done something significant recently with very little money as far as I know. I understand this idea of well we could get worse than Mowbray but the real issue is that regardless of if they got a success or a complete dud as the next manager, Rovers will eventually go into administration unless the debt is brought down in some way.
Either through the owners saying they don't want it back or from PL money.
Rovers need a manager with some upward momentum.
-
If players like Bennet and Johnson play against a team that is battling for survival then Rovers will lose. Bottlers vs battlers won't work. Play the youth. Nothing on the game for us other than a few points.

Wish Rovers could get a Wilder type manager. Proper manager with no bullshit and proper tactics. Sheffield United are a team to follow. No 12 million pet projects or favourites in the team. Mowbray out.

Sounds like Bennet would make a decent Red Coat, shit footballer though. Mowbray out!
Bennet has no character. This is the same guy who had verbal fights with fans online after dozens of shit performances resulted in him having his ability questioned. Should have been let go after league one promotion.

It's starting to look like Nyambe is going to be Raya Mk2.
He will be in the prem then after next year. What a manager we have. Sells one of the best keepers in the league because he was judged not good enough and now 12 months later one is nearly promoted and the other is going backwards.
Rovers need to get their act together because it really is promotion of bust in the same manner as bury. We need that PL money to survive. I'd take record low points total and venkies gone with no debt and a clean slate over what we have now.

You get what you deserve and we've asked for this.
Mowbrays asked for this along with the rest of his staff. Any fan with sense was saying at the beginning of January that the club needed a player or two but unfortunately they've done exactly the same as last year.
Just waiting on fans to realise that come the summer a player or two will be gone. Why do people think FFP has been all that's said over the last 5 weeks.
Bowyer Mk11 in front of our eyes.
Mowbray out.

Wouldn't you replace a Bennet with a Costello as one has the chance to improve and the other is at a level that is his very limit battling relegation? Look at how Norwich just threw in two young fallbacks and basically got on with it.
No risk no reward.

Would this guy inspire you
Got to honest with you. That's near enough what I do with the team I help coach at U15s who plays goal. It's very basic and can be thought of on the spot. Surely there's more that goes on but not to impressed really for a pro.

I still haven’t heard one murmer of the manager feeling the heat from upstairs or in the media. I want him gone as much as anyone but I just can’t see it
Has to come from the fans. They are the only chance this club has of moving him on. Make the position untenable.

Tony needs to firmly decide on a formation or two that he wants to play.
Then go into the transfer market and get the best players he can, to go along with the best of what we have already, to play in that/those 2 formations.
What it appears happens is that he looks at what he can get in the market and then use those plus his favourites and play them somewhere in his team.
It really isn't rocket science. If I was in charge I would make sure I had 2 decent quality players in each position, so if there's an injury to one then the alternative is a decent replacement, playing in their natural position.
For instance if we are playing 4-2-3-1 then....
2 X GK
2 X RB
2 X LB
4 X CB
4 X CM
2 X AM
2 X RW
2 X LW
3 X CF
Let's not piss about with average squad players ie Smallwood Samuel Evans Bell Bennett etc..
God I'd love a go at Mowbray's job, as I suspect we all would.
Unfortunately and I don't mean any disrespect but that number of signings won't happen over the next few windows. I also find it crazy that a manager more than 2 and a half years into his time doesn't have formations and tactics nailed down.
It's time to go!
-
The Dack money is already gambled on the two forwards we've bought. We aren't getting 10 million plus for Dack and spending it at the same time.
-
Battling central midfielder and centre back. There's enough talent in the squad to get goals it's just the team as a whole are to soft to battle for wins.
Someone to go with Travis and someone to go with the city lad until the summer.
- 1
-
Regardless of the result, it's Mowbray out for me as he won't improve any further than he already has. The club needs to keep an upward momentum going or we'll be back in league one in no time.

“the Club will not tolerate any of its players or staff behaving in a manner which puts themselves, their colleagues, and members of the general public at risk of injury or worse, or which brings the club into disrepute“
And do you think they'll sack the two others? Unless there's some sort of way for them to claim the money back on them they won't be going anywhere.
Football players are unique in that they are human products, not your average worker who can't be sold to a rival company for profit. Derby will let them go but through sales rather than sacking
Football is where morals go to die.

If anyone thinks derby are going to throw 10 million or more out of the window over morals needs to realise its not how the world works, money trumps everything else.
Would people be saying the same if it was a Dack or similar at Rovers? I highly doubt it. Saying and doing are two entirely different things.

Dunn isn't a Rovers legend he's a fucking turncoat. A real legend is a tugay and the like, even salgado when he publicly fought against kean.
